Location: Excellent, situated in Shinjuku, one of the largest entertainment district, its only a few blocks away from the JR and Metro station. Within a block you'll find plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, stores, and arcades. Perfect when you don't feel like venturing far from your hotel. Beyond that are large department stores like Tokyu Hands, Mylords, and Takashimaya. Everything is nearby so it provides plenty of options on your activities, you can relax in Shinjuku or venture off with ease.

Service: Everyone in the hotel was helpful and tried their best despite language barriers. Foreign currency exchange was easy, they do both traveler checks and cash. Some hotels only accept one option over the other, but Keio was very easy and minimal paperwork as well.

Room: Small, but that's standard in Tokyo. The view of the Metropolitan Tower was nice and the city lights looked great at night. The room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was very clean as well. Only flaw was the decor was a bit old, but I think they are still in the process or renovating their rooms. I'm not too sure about it, but we definitely did not get the ones featured on their website. Still, its perfectly fine. All I needed was a clean, comfortable, and quiet room so I can sleep after a long day in Tokyo.

Transportation: Just walk a few blocks and you'll find JR & Metro stations easily. There are plenty of entrances for both these stations so its not difficult to find. Locals will be more than willing to help you. Airport Limousine drops off right here, make sure to buy those tickets because: 1. it makes transportation from and to the airport easier and 2. they offered a great special where when we purchase on AL ticket, we get a one-day unlimited use metro ticket for only 100 yen more. Its a great deal, considering those tickets normally cost 700 yen! I did not use the bus while I was in Tokyo, found the metro and some exercise sufficient enough.

“A nice hotel but needs facelift”

My husband and I took our 7 year old son there in Feb 2006. We took the JR train from the airport and realized the 10 min walk to the from Sapporo Station to hotel was impossible with our large suitcases because we had to walk on the snow covered pavement. Recommend to take the airport bus instead.
The hotel itself is nice and clean, but in need of a facelift. The decor and rooms were worn out.

We were given a room with three full size beds. However the bathroom was very small (guess it's OK for Japanese standard) with barely any room to fit my son and me in there. Staff in general are very helpful and friendly. As mentioned, it is close to the JR Tower which has lots of shopping and restaurants. But the walk could be quite a toll at night esp if it is snowing. Better to stay there in the summer or fall.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel last December. We really liked it! The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Sapporo Station (admittedly, it's not a particularly enjoyable walk in the snow). We had a twin room and it was huge compared to the other hotels we stayed at while in Japan. We also had a great view of the city from our room and it was especially beautiful at night.

There are a number of restaurants in the hotel. We ate at the Chinese restaurant one evening and found the meals to be expensive and the portions tiny. Jurin, the restaurant on the first floor, is nothing to write home about but it's not too bad. We had the buffet breakfast there every morning (it was included in our room rate) and we had the buffet dinner one night also. Both buffets have a good selection and the breakfast includes both Western and Japanese style foods.

The rooms in this hotel are a bit tired but for the price and location, this hotel is a great choice! I'd definitely stay there again.

The Keio is a typical Japanese hotel for the Japanese client base. We took a Family rom which is essentially two single rooms knocked into one. Main advantage is that it has two bathrooms. Not too much space to move around but some place to leave your luggage.

It has a pool (for an extra charge) but as it is mostly used by lane swimmers do not expect your children to be playing in there for long as they only let you use one lane for recreational swimming.

Did not eat there but there do seem to be plenty of resturants there.

It is well located being very close to the center and train station.

I and my family were in Sapporo for a few days, and we stayed in Keio Plaza Hotel. This hotel is very enjoyable and now I recommend this hotel to all my friend and also to everyone. The personnel in this hotel is very affable. We lived in family room with two bathrooms. Understand, as far as it is wonderful! The breakfast was good, continental and Japanese. A good big pool with natural underground spring water is in the hotel. Also the Japanese bath is here also. Our parlourmaid cleaned our room good, so it was pleasant for us to come back in our room after walks across Sapporo. Hotel has very convenient location, convenient for shopping and sightseeing. Only a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station. It is possible to continue the travel by train. A lot off good shops are in closed at the hotel: Bic Camera Sapporo - 5 minutes on foot; Daimaru Sapporo - 4 minutes on foot, and many others. Botanical garden is opposite to hotel. This is lovely place, we breathed here easily. The air is very clean in spite of the fact that it is city centre. Generally Sapporo has clean air. In February you can see Sapporo snow festival, it is only 10 minutes for a work to Odori Park.
We plan to visit Sapporo once more, and we want to stop in this hotel only. Good luck!
