“Long park in the middle of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

Ran this park which stretches about 1.5 km from Sapporo TV Tower (orange and white - can't miss it). It is between 2 streets and runs for 13 blocks.. Home to many festivals, including a month long beer garden in the summer and Sapporo Snow Festival in the winter with ice sculptures. It's walking distance from Sapporo Station. Go to a festival there if you can.

“Excellent... during Summer”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

Every year during Summer, the Sapporo beer festival is held at Odori Park, with different brands of beer each occupying a plot of the park's garden, turning it into beer gardens.

Besides having a cool beer during the hot summer, going there during summer allows travelers to bask and feel the local culture, eating and drinking like the locals do. Not to mention the fantastic ambiance and spirit. Not to be missed for drinkers and non-drinkers alike. Its a pity all beer garden activities stop at 9pm sharp, while last orders are at 8.30pm.

very relaxing, have a nice view on the TV tower. During winter the snow festival is a must! Summer time you can see the pretty garden.

“A shady haven, complete with beer festival.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

Would be very pleasant anytime but we happened to coincide with the beer festival. Unlike some other beer festivals absolutely no bad behaviour evident.

“Go and soak in the atmosphere during the weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

It was bustling with lots of activities when we went on a weekend-performance, market stalls selling flowers, designer items made by the stall owners as well as snack stalls. Nice place to relax.
