I stayed here for three nights while in Sapporo recently, and was impressed with the style, comfort and location. The rooms were not the most spacious, but clean and comfortably appointed. The location was hard to beat, and the facilities (though limited) were enjoyable. The staff were helpful and polite, and there as little to complain about.
Rooms: The hotel categorizes its rooms into three types (Hip, Urban and Natural), and we stayed in the "Natural" style rooms. This included a semi-separate living room and bedroom, which gave us more space. The size of the room was sufficient, but not spacious, for two people. There was a separate toilet and shower/bath area as well. The room was clean and new, and included an empty fridge, some utensils and a kettle. All in all, from my experience of Japanese boutique hotels, this room was fairly spacious and very comfortable.
Facilities: Don't expect to find a gym or pool here! There was however, a public bath at the top of the hotel, along with a guest lounge, which was quite nice. There public bath even had an outdoor soaking area, which was quite nice given the cool weather. We also frequented the bar once, which served generous drinks at a fairly decent price.
Location: The hotel itself was a 5-10 minute walk from Sapporo Station, which was about halfway between Odori park/Susukino (and the main shopping area) and the main station. Walking to Susukino is about a 10 minute stroll. There was a convenience store right opposite the hotel, and plenty of restaurants and shops within a 1 minute radius.
Staff/Service: Prior to checking in, I had some queries regarding room choices. Emails were polite and replied-to promptly. Check-in and check-out was a breeze, and all staff were polite and helpful. Reception was helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations.
Wifi: The hotel was supposed to offer free wifi, but for some reason the wifi on our floor was not working properly. This meant that we had to go to the lobby every time we wanted to check email or use the internet, which was a minor inconvenience.
Room choices: Funnily enough, the hotel had very limited options for rooms with king-sized bed. Most of their rooms only offer double beds, so it might not be the best place for a romantic getaway.
