“Well worth the visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

This was the last stop on our day tour of Hangzhou and though it was a bit rushed we still really enjoyed visiting the temples and seeing the monks that still reside and serve at the monastery. A definite 'must do' when visiting Hangzhou

“worth the trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013

The Lingyin temple is a very ancient and still well-kept place. The thing to be careful is there are a lot of people who want to scam the tourists as soon as we got out from the taxi. Those people tried to distract us and pointed us to a wrong direction. You have got to watch out for that. Please ask the local police for directions. Probably need 3 hours there at least.

“Golden Buddha”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Very impressive, including multiple Buddha carvings in stone walls, and three temples - lovely park setting, not too crowded.

“Feel like a Buddhist!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Amazing place, while you meet groups of believers is there for pilgrimage. It’s really worthy spending time on mountains over there seeing the carved statues of Buddha on rocks.
