Stayed for a night. Spacious room with very comfy bed. Staff are well trained, friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good with ranch of selections from Chinese dim sums to French toast.

This is a grand hotel, which located in the center of the city, there were a lot of shops and restaurant around. The entrance of this hotel was in a small street, it was so intresting to observe the local people's life by walking around this area. The staff did speak very well English, the service was just great, they took care of their guests personally.The lobby manager was always present in the lobby, he was willing to give his guest any information they liked. The room was really spacious, it was a little bit old, but extremly clean, if you would pay more money, you could get a room which has a view of West Lake. The internet connection was speedy, the television programm was various, including English language, you could adjust the temperature of the air conditioner in the room. the only problem was that we can not open the window.The breakfast was very delicious, and the lunch buffet was surprisingly good. The chef cook could speak English too, he had learned how to cook western food abroad, we got oyster and various fish dished and meat, the dessert comprised of icecream and cakes and different fruits.
Just on the next day, when I checked out, there came a valet, he could not get rid of his smart phone all the time. The swimming pool was crowded, it was more for the kids to play.

I stay here regularly when in Hangzhou and if you can get a good rate on ctrip about 600rmb it is well worth this rate. The beds are very comfortable, bedrooms and bathrooms very clean. Whilst there is not so much English speaking staff as when Raddison had it, the staff are still friendly, helpful and if can not understand you will call on another staff that can. I don't take breakfast, as it is far too expensive RMB150. If you are looking for Hyatt luxury, then this hotel you will be disappointed but if it is a comfortable, clean room with western TV channels you are looking for, then this delivers!

This used to be Radisson hotel Hangzhou. Then chinese owners took it and it became Landisson Hangzhou, owners assured that they would keep same quality standard as Radisson as they had worked with them for many years. But over the years, quality has been declining.
The lunch buffet is a total rip off, grossly overpriced and with few western dishes. Other than that, it's just another chinese hotel (quite overpriced)

If you want a chinese hotel, near Zhejiang International Hotel (Tiyuchanglu near the elevated road) is similar with much better prices.

And if you want a western hotel with prices similar to Landisson, head for Marriott (or go to Oakwood residences for good value 5 star rooms)

There is a construction site nearby that can be annoying if you try to sleep through the morning
