My first impression upon stepping into the room was that it looks really dated. Nonetheless, the room was clean and adequate for a two days stay. No wifi in rooms. Front desk was efficient but unfriendly. Walking distance to the west lake and shopping centres.

I found this hotel really comfortable and cheap place to stay. The rooms are spacious and the bed was large. The decor was slightly dated but did bother me. I also found the location quite convenient as I could catch a taxi any time of the day and also most taxi drivers know the hotel - although I carried a taxi card with me which is written in Chinese.

The rooms in this hotel are a good size, well appointed, modern and unique. The elegant designs of the rooms is unlike anything I've ever seen in a hotel before. The way the bathroom opens up on 2 sides make very good use of the space, and makes the room seem even larger. There is a revolving restaurant on the top floor which gives spectacular views of West Lake and copious amounts of choice of what you want to eat. They even give you free calls anywhere in China.

The hotel is strategically located within few minutes walk to west lake. Out from lobby to the left just walk straight ahead and here you are at west lake. Along the street there are also a bakery, a local western fast food chain restaurant and small street where you can find small local restaurants. The hotel also provide a booklet of hangzhou guide book with a map. The room was clean nice comfy bed strong shower,standard hotel amenities with few oranges as one of the complimentary. From the room can see west lake from far. Arriving at the hotel from the airport at midnight, the taxi driver got lost a little bit because of the one-way road. But we print out hotel map and address in Chinese with hotel phone number so with this we found it in short.
We asked hotel staff to help us find taxi to airport on 5pm which said to be rush hour but taxi can be found in just few minutes. you can also exchange smaller notes here. Overall we are happy and will return and recommended
