The food was tasty and nicely displayed, but we expected more.
From the ratings on TripAdvisor and the photos, and the fact that this restaurant is in the Hyatt, we really expected it to be surprisingly delicious. It was a very good restaurant overall, very atmospheric, friendly staff, and the food was in general quite tasty and nicely displayed. But the dishes were lacking in depth, and I think more could be done to bring out the flavor of the ingredients.
As for drinks, we were less than satisfied. The martini was not great, nor the pina colada. They had Fransiskaner Weissbier, but the waitress didn't know how to pour it, so the foam overspilled - such a shame, and surprising how the waitress didn't know how to serve what they sold.
The co-manager was a very friendly woman who really helped us when there was a mistake with our dessert, and I do believe they try their best to ensure the restaurant quality improves.
All in all, I think it didn't bring shame to its name on the TripAdvisor chart, but we have had better Hangzhou food elsewhere.
