“Amazing sea of tulips”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2012

I have visited this park only in spring time. I think the best time to head there is from late March to beginning of April, depending of warm and sunny days. Then you see all the cherry and apple trees and hundreds of thousands of tulips blossoming. This sight is unforgettable! You will not be there alone but remembering it, just enjoy the view.

There are good paths to walk but not all of them are suitable for baby trolley. There are also seats where you can have a snack. Some refreshments also available.

I know this park as "Taiziwan park" and in some maps it is called by this name. At least in spring time park is very crowded and traffic nearby is bad, so carry a map with you if taxi don't want to drive you to the destination.

“Visit when the tulips are blooming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2011

Prince Bay Park (or Taiziwan Park) is one of the many lovely parks around the West Lake. Although beautiful in any season, the best time to visit is in March or April when thousands of tulips are blooming. (This time is also extremely popular with local visitors, so don't expect to have the park all to yourself.)

Prince Bay Park is on Nanshan Road, near one end of the Su Causeway.
