So you are in Hangzhou for some sightseeing, wish to be close to the lake, and next to a subway station, right next to bike rentals, and with zillions of restaurants to chose for any type of meal, and pay reasonable rates for a good room: then the Ren He hotel is just right for you.
I just mentioned all the positive points.
The breakfast buffet is quite big, but, as others have mentioned, do not expect a large choice of "western" breakfast items, and like everywhere in China, it is recommendable to be at the breakfast early and not close to closing time.
TV: except for one or two channels in English, all others are Chinese.

Room tip: We had a corder room. Could have been luck, but it definitely gave the room a larger feel.

The hotel is not posh, but good value for money. The room was comfortable in size. The location of the hotel was great! 10 minutes from the subway, 5 minutes walk to West Lake and the popular local restaurants (Grandma's Restaurant and Green Tea Restaurant). There is also a big shopping mall closeby too.

This is our first stay at Renhe Hotel and we found the location ideal as it is a stone's throw from West Lake.  There are shopping malls, restaurants and cafe nearby, making it very convenient.

We stayed in a Deluxe room with breakfast.  The room was large, the bed comfortable and the toilet amenities were adequate.  They even provided a jar of detergent for your washing.
There was a 40" LED TV in the room but unfortunately no English channels.

Staff at the Reception could not speak English well but they tried to be helpful.

Impressions Show tickets can be bought at Tour Desk (Reception) - RMB 240 (choose A3 section)
Take Bus 7 outside Grandma's Restaurant to Impressions Show location.  Ask Tour Desk to write you the location to drop off.  Very convenient.

Overall, stay was comfortable and convenient, we will definitely stay here again for its location.

Room tip: Choose a Deluxe Room which is on higher floor.

Renhe Hotel is one of the best hotels in Hangzhou which is just 5 minutes walk to the West Lake. Local eateries and shopping malls are just within walking distance. The hotel also has a Massage centre at the basement floor and occupants can have great massage after a long day travelling. Clean rooms and great mattress and pillows. Love it. Will come back again.

The Renhe hotel is the perfect location to enjoy walks along the lake, see the music fountain which is very close by and getting the boats to the other side of the lake. I upgraded to a business room which was very comfortable with all the usual features. The room was suppose to have free wifi which initially connected and worked very well on my first day however kept in cutting out and eventually failed. I gave up and used the Hyatt as my base for wifi as I found the Renhe hotel wifi unreliable.
Having a fruit platter was a special touch to my room along with some other nice condiments. The room faced another building so had no view however I was only here in the evening as spent most of my day out.

Breakfast consisted of traditional Chinese food and as a westerner myself I have no problem with. I am sure most westerners would find something to satisfy their taste. Breakfast was included in the tariff which I felt was reasonable.

It would have been good to have a bar in the hotel just to have a night cap prior to bed but was informed no bar facilities. The staff were helpful in suggesting getting a taxi to one however as I was only after a quick drink I felt this unsuitable.

The staff were pleasant however had little English. For example when asked for a map they only had this in mandarin and was informed that an English map did not exist. I attempted to book a tour to see the impressions of Hangzhou and some boat tours. I was told by the front desk that this was not available. Disappointed with this I would suggest anyone wanting some English assistance to take a walk down to the Hyatt and ask them for assistance as they were able to book the tour, arrange the taxi there and back and gave me their mobile number if I needed assistance. This kind of service was lacking at the Renhe Hotel.

All up a great location, good clean accommodation with reasonable facilities, no bar facilities, improvement required providing an English version of the tours and maps around Hangzhou. They are available you just need to to walk to the Hyatt for these. Lastly they need better wifi.
