Stayed here from 9-11 Jun. Location of the hotel is really good. Close to all famous eateries like Grandma's, Zhi Wei Guan etc. West Lake is just in a street across the hotel. A walk around the west lake is a must..you can see many locals bringing their own karaoke sets, singing, dancing or having games of chess under big shady trees. I have written more on the hotel with photos here http://huat365days.blogspot.sg/2014/06/shanghai-hangzhou-day-3-962014.html and hope it's useful.
Reception's service is acceptable, not extremely friendly but polite enough to get things done. Check In and Check Out is a breeze. Our room is on the 2nd floor, overlooking some 2 storey complex. But that's fine, it is not noisy at all. The air con is little cranky though. Not cold enough and when we were there, hot afternoon sun warmed up the room faster than the air con chilling it!
There is also a Carrefour Supermarkets nearby. Can visit to buy local products to bring home as gifts for friends. It is better to buy here rather than paying higher prices at night market. They also sell rather nice Long Jing tea there too.
Just about another 200m away from Renhe is Hyatt - hope this gives u a better idea of the location of Renhe...a reasonably priced hotel in a superb location.
We went back to the hotel late one night, probably around 11pm plus, the streets seems pretty safe...Stayed here from 9-11 Jun. Location of the hotel is really good. We went back to the hotel late one night, probably around 11pm plus, the streets seems pretty safe (even though the hotel's entrance is inside a short little lane) as there are still some people and petrol police around the west lake area.More
