We were very pleased that the hotel sent an email with the name of the hotel and address in Chinese, but the taxi dropped us in the pouring rain some distance from the hotel and pointed to the wrong building, despite having this information. Friendly folk redirected us.
When we arrived we were given a room with one bed - we had booked a room with two beds, but it was quickly rectified. Despite having my credit card details, we were asked for a deposit in cash - something that should have been spelled out in the information when booking.
The room in which we stayed was excellent - could not fault it. Clean, tidy, and with all that we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was small but most functional. Top marks here. Despite the fact that travellers who speak no Chinese do stay at the hotel there is no English information.
As it was raining we tried to get a meal in the restaurant but they could only offer us an outside table (and it was very cold), near a noisy group of men. We declined and went to a little eating place at another part of the villa. No English spoken anywhere, but we managed.
I would recommend the hotel, with the proviso that there will be challenges if English is the only language.
It is a shame that there isn't more information in English - would make it much more pleasant to know more about the area and facilities.
