Was pleasantly surprised by the level of excellent service displayed by the staff. The receptionists were helpful and friendly, while the chambermaids very nicely hurried when they saw us standing outside the room - all the while apologising profusely for not being faster.
The room itself is large and clean. In the family room (they were out of twin rooms), there is even a small alcove that serves as a study area. It's about a 20 minute walk from the main Kunming train station, and a 20 minute walk from the main shopping area/flower and animal market.
