This hotel has a certain old world charm with lots of dark timber panelling, polished stone and colourful 50s style carpet. The hotel is located within a peaceful garden setting away from the noise of the main road. All staff we came in contact with were so friendly and helpful, their English was embarrassingly excellent compared to our few words of Mandarin.

Rooms were generous in size, well equipped, comfortable and clean and with free Wifi. The double bed was huge. Buffett breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety. Checking in and out was fast and efficient.

Could not wish for a better stay.

Spent a few days in Xi'An at the Grand Mercure with my girlfriend, with the intention of planning her birthday and to take the opportunity to propose to her.

As a Accor Le Club member, the hotel took very good care of my needs during my stay. The front desk staff (Mr Jerry Zhao) heard my intentions and went the extra mile to help me, such as birthday cake, breakfast in bed plus late check out.

Overall, the rooms are fntastic, apart from the fact that one can feel a little spooked out at times, as the pathway t the hotel is not very brightly lit. I would however be more than happy to stay in Grand Mercure the next time I return to Xi'An.

Beautiful hotel hidden in a little square. This hotel was lovely. It is right behind a People Hotel that is currently being renovated. Was amazing. The breakfast and room service are great and quality of the food and service was very prompt. Room service portions are very large. A short walk to the main street has a myriad of shops and restaurants and a Starbucks nearby. There are large shopping malls everywhere if you need it. Rooms are beautifully decorated although on the smaller size and thats probably because the bed is so big. A great stay.

The staff and setting are fantastic. Every staff member has gone out of their way to assist us with navigating the language barrier from great advise to calling and communicating to the cab driver to ensure yo get ot where you want to go. Steven Barbie an Sam have been awesome. The room is elegant and comfortable. The wifi connection was seamless and works perfectly with out which I would not be able to post this review. The ground and gardens are beautiful clean and tranquil. It is in walking distance to many great sites in Xi'an. Food is superb catering for western and Chinese tastes, all the Chinese food here is High quality. Love the city love the hotel.
