“Now that's what I call a wall !!”

The ancient wall is 13.7km long and about 12m wide on top. You can hire bikes (RMB 40) and cycle the whole way. The other option is an electric car (also RMB 40 per person) which runs from gate to gate. The wall has been extensively restored and is obviously well maintained. We didn't have a long time to spend but will allow more time next visit as it is well worth it. Another Xi'an must see.

“Beautiful Memory”

Worth a early get up and bicycling around the ancient wall. Experience the syncretic morden and historic view with family. It might also enjoyable to spend a whole day walking around the wall, stop at interesting places, and keep going. Tips for bicycling: prepare yourself with thick pants to protect your bottom!

“Worth a cycle”

Hire a bike on the wall - a good way to circumnavigate the city!
A leisurely trip round the wall will take the full 100 minutes.

“Impressive walls, allow plenty of time for visit”

The city walls are well-preserved (or restored). Interesting place. If you like cycling, allow time, because you can hire bikes and cycle along the top, all the way round! Bike hire place near the museum and book shop, where the welcome ceremony takes place.

“Lovely place for a walk”

We had a beautiful early morning walk along part of the wall. Was not busy at the time so it was great to appreciate the sheer size and magnificence of this structure.
