We have dropped by to the Aegean Hot springs for a lunch, on our way from Terra-cotta Army Museum to Xi'an. The restaurant served lunch ala carte or open buffet. We have chosen ala carte option. It was really great. Very good quality of food; typical local dishes with various grades of spaciness. The service was quick and professional. The surroundings were very nice; the resort was done not worse than any European high-quality resorts.

“picturesque”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Well worth a visit. Take the little buggy that drives around the site to the various places of interest. Very pretty setting, great photo opportunities. Not far from the warrior site so worth a look.

“110 yuan for seeing cuople of stone pools”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

My valuation is 40 yuan max. Definetly not worth the addmission fee. We actually thought it is a scam when we entered and felt like suckers. The only thing that was interesting was the proffessionally done 3d movie about emperors crazy love ( even if in chinese), but this is not the reason to charge the price. It is easy to miss it so whatch.
What is interesting is how based on a simple love story you can create a great prospering business, only because it is on the way to the tombs. There is a big monument build next to the street to lure more like us in the next seasons.

“Some distance from the city but well worth the journey.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

The Hauqing Hot Springs has something to appeal to just about everybody. There are swings and toffee apples for the kids, wonderful gardens and superb ancient buildings. This is where the Emperor lived with his concubines and it's worth paying an English-speaking guide to explain the purpose of each building. These ancient emperors had quite a wild time!

“A lovely scenario where the passion of an Emperor for music and his beautiful concubine could find its highest expression.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

Very nice scenario. An elegant complex of elegant buildings and hot spring water built by an emperor for his lovely concubine who was a famous singer and dancer who was also know for her beauty over 1000 years ago. A statue with hot spring water is dedicated to her beauty. On the back, toward west, a mountain completes the frame of the site. There are several small and medium pools with hot spring water. Pleasent and peaceful location. Surely, an ideal place where the passion of an Emperor for music and his beautiful concubine could find its highest expression. Ourdays, music and dance performances can be appreciated in this spectacular site.
