“Ultimately a tad underwhelmed?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

I still cannot quite work out why I felt this way. Our visit hapened to coincide with a visit by Mohammed Karzai. That meant the crowds all surged in at the same time. It is a remarkable collection and the 87 year old farmer who discovered the warriors was signing copies of books so I guess that is pretty amazing when I think about it. After all it is one of the wonders of the world IThe setting for the large hangers that house the warriors is rather beautiful surrounded by hills which are quite a welcome change to the super expansive delta areas of the really whopping cities. I was also so impressed with the patient pommegranite sellers, loads nad loads of them, but none really was hawkkng his or her ...usually her...wares

“Wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

This is a must see place should you ever visit China. The museum where the Warriors are located is actually built over the area of the field where the Warriors were found. The farmer who first located the Warriors on his land was present when we visited the museum so we were very fortunate. The whole area is a treasure to view and spectacular in all aspects.

“great museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

one makes such a big deal about the terra cotta warriors than one can feel a bit disappointed because the expectation is sooo high. so come with normal expectation and you will enjoy it more. the warriors are housed in a big warehouse. there are a lot of people. this is the minus. there are a lot of soldiers . Many are in great shape. and the sheer number of them is impressive. the museum attached to it is very interesting.

“parade”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

sectors 2&3 are small, well organized but with low illumination.
sector 1, the main one, is huge with the parade of the warriors, it's nice to take pictures but my impression was influenced by the not naturality of the show, it takes off something from one of the greatest funeral treasures ever found
