Very interesting to see. Amazing how they uncovered this amazing find not so long ago and that it is in such good condition. A must see in Xian.

“Do see it if you have the chance...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013

So after unifying China and building it's great wall, the first Emperor of China convinced himself that his wise men had cracked the code to eternal life. Building himself an army to continue to serve him in the underworld, the whole works was burnt down by a peasant rebellion a year after his death.

What you see today is what was identically discovered by a farmer digging a well. The farmer is now the manager of the museum facility and if you're lucky he might be there to sign museum books for you.

Altogether a lovely experience, I gave it a Very Good instead of Excellent because of the crowds you have to work with being there.

“A uniqe place..”

The excavation site, and the museum are a great sight. The museum even has the doll used during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, as well as many examples of the Tarra-cotta woriers. You can even have one made of your likeness as a souvenier.

“Impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Be prepared to be amazed and a little overawed steeped in history and everyone different, a trip that lasts for about 3 hours we had an ebglish speaking guide and because it was off season there was plenty of time to wander and take losts of pics without having to dodge the masses of people, this attraction iof you can call it that will only leave you wanting to understand and know more of the history of the place its a must to visit but be prepared to walk as the site covers a vast area
