“Wow, worth the whole trip to China!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

The sheer scale of this attraction and the amazing amount of work that was involved in piecing this back together is mind blowing. I had no idea that the whole thing was in millions of fragments that had to be painstakingly reconstructed. What a task and one that the Chinese archeologists have really triumphed over.

Each face is unique, even the horses had different expressions and the work is ongoing still with a dedicated team of specialists working on site so it's really easy to see how this is being completed. Nothing can prepare you for the sheer scale of this exhibit, the real highlight of our China tour. I recommend that you get there early before the crowds and in 2-3 hours you can see all the pits and museum, beautifully presented. We had a good guide but even without one, the way it is all laid out and the video presentation would make this a delight to everyone of all ages. Highly recommended!

“Warriors Galore!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

I loved seeing the masses of warriors, each different from one another and each created with such detail so long ago. However, I recommend using a guide, or reading up in advance, because explanations aren't as complete as one might wish. But truly a wonder!

“Very moving to see in their original location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013

I have always been fascinated by the TCWs. I saw the exhibit when it was in Washington, DC a few years ago but seeing all of the warriors in the pits in Xi'an is so much more awe-inspiring. We visited pits 1, 2, and 3 along with the carriage museum. The farmer who found the warriors was at the gift shop autographic books, too, which was really cool.

It is so fascinating to see the unique features of each warrior and also to see the painstaking process of how each warrior is unearthed and pieced together. Really really incredible.

“great visit to an active archaelogical site”

THE reason to visit Xi'an. Amazing to see the warriors and horses being excavated. A vast expanse of area. It will be truly amazing to see what is uncovered when everything is excavated.

It was a life long dream to see these warriors, and I was not dissapointed! The only thing I have to say is, please do not, if possible, use the bathrooms, it is horrendous!
