“A MUST see!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012 via mobile

This was a fascinating place really. Better than I imagined it. It's quite amazing what was achieved so long ago. This place is a must see if you're in the area of Xian.

“The Terracotta Warriors”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Everything you have ever heard and more. Extremely well laid out and organised. This is a very large site with three major pits which have so far been only partially excavated but one of them is as big as a football pitch. All under the cover of a arching roofs which afford uninterrupted views of the excavations. Truly one of the wonders of the world and once seen never forgotten.

“the emperor thought a lot of himself!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

the warriors were put in place to guard the emperor's tomb. All of the warriors on the outside of the group face out. The rest fact straight ahead. No two warriors are the same, the horses are magnificent and the part in the rear where the warriors are actually being reconstructed is awesome. Afternoon light makes for some phenomenal pictures!

“Wow! Was not expecting this!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Amazing exhibit!
Of course I knew of this archeological find, but had no idea how incredible this spectacular find was! This is a "must see"...the dig is in three separate buildings that equate to at least 10 football fields in size at various stages of excavation...we watched several workers carefully uncovering the precious find. We actually met the farmer who came across the warriors while digging for a well and shook his hand (me too)! If you have any sense of history, this is a MUST SEE!
