“One of the best noodles in Xi'an”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

Fare Chinese meal for someone who is not used to Chinese food.
Noodles are appreciated all around the round, the way of making them changes, and Xi'an is applauded for this specialty.
I have to admit, beside street noodles, this place might be one of the best I have ever tested. Very delicate in taste, subtile flavors.

Cosi and interesting decoration.
Service is fast and proficient.

“Would go back”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

The restaurant was mentioned in our Lonely Planet guide and it turned out it was just a block from our hotel, so we gave it a try. Had two kinds of noodles, one was spinach. Both were great! Vegetables were fresh, and we tried these "pumpkin pies" which were not pumpkin pies at all, but were really good!

I saw a couple of other tripadvisor reviews saying it is a real tourist place, but last night, we were the only Westerners there and it was pretty full.

Two noodle dishes, two sides, and tea was 48 RMB...

“Please do not try!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

Was in Xi'An two days ago and decided to give this shop a try after sawing the reviews on tripadvisor. Please do not try as the noodles and pancakes that we ordered tasted terrible... Noodles were not handmade, with too much flour instead. More like a shop for tourists. Confirmed this with my tour guide the next day who shared that locals do not visit this shop. There are far better restaurants around the area!

“Service was good, but I think mediocre Chinese food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

Whether they were trying to be kind or hide us away, they put our little family of 4 in a private room. We had a laugh about it, being a very blonde family we stick out a bit in China. The service however, was excellent, they attended to us with great efficiency and big smiles. It was really quite a nice feel to the downstairs area of the restaurant, it was busy, and you had to queue for a table. The food was just okay, but in fairness the noodles are their specialty and we didnt order them as we had noodles for lunch. One example was the duck, which was all bones and skin, and little meat. But this is China and certain foods just get lost in translation.

“Good noodles for very reasonable price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

We had been there on a saturday night and it was busy. Place is famous for special noodle type and it was hard to decide. There are lots of options for other than noodle dishes. We even managed to get two vegetarian options. For 6 courses with drinks we paid only 110 yuan!
