Well....where should I start?  First of all, this is the least welcoming hotel I  ever stayed at.  The service is HORRIFIC!!! None of the staff spoke decent English.  Me and my boyfriend were lucky enough because one of us spoke Chinese somewhat, so we managed.  Asking for any help from the staff is like pulling teeth.  Not only are they   unhelpful but most of them don't  even seem to know the services they supposedly provide!  For example:  we wanted to order some room service, and they told us that they  only do breakfast, even though there is a menu in the room saying  food is served from 11am to 11:30pm.  Second example of their  'wonderful' service is, we had tea and coffee in the morning, and because we didn't have time to finish it, we left some in the mugs.  Instead of giving us new or cleaning  our mugs, they just put lids on them.    As if any one in their right mind would want to drink cold tea and coffee that have been sitting in the room the whole day.  When asked  for new mugs, an angry cleaner came telling us that there are no new mugs and we should just clean it ourselves!

The room itself basically feels like an ikea show room, but very badly fitted.  Very tired, stained and scuffed all round, and rather dark and cramped.

Oh and they make you pay upfront with a no refund policy!  In hindsight that should have been a good warning bell to run the other direction! One night here and you will want to change hotel the next day!

So would I recommend to a friend?
NO! would I be returning to this hotel? NO!  Only if you paid me! If you are coming to Xi'an, I highly advise you to stay somewhere else.
