hotel that actually contains everything inside:
a spa (good one, I tried a foot massage), a big pool.
a wetern restaurant - nice food (tried it on a rainy day)
great view, big rooms, money exchange, shops...
exchange - was a bit rough, they check that the money you exchange from are brand new
if no - they don't accept it.
if it has something written on it, or wrinkled - not accepted.
in one word: LUXURY.
location is good -close to the market center.

This was our favourite hotel stay in mainland China (out of five hotels). Excellent location and super comfortable rooms. The hotel staff were by far the most friendly and helpful of the places we stayed. In fact the people in Guilin generally seemed much more friendly than in the other places we visited. Could have something to do with the gorgeous scenery right throughout the town... The hotel waterfall show was well worth a look too.

Since arriving in Guilin, this hotel has been very perfect for what we need. The location couldn't be better, the waterfall show is spectacular, rooms are comfortable and the staff speaks proficient English. The one problem that I found is there is no coffee available before 9am unless you go to the breakfast buffet. There is a coffee/pastry shop in the hotel but opens at 9am. So if your don't have time/money for the buffet, there are no other options in the morning.
