This hotel has the most comfortable beds on my whole China trip, Just the one right after a long trip. Staff spoke good englisch and was really helpful. The room was big, clean and quiet. The breakfast had a good choice of chinese and western food. The styling of the hotel is design at its best. After all I would rate this a real 5-star hotel.
Best of all was the price of 458 RMB only, a real bargain.
The only con is that the hotel is an airport hotel and far away from downtown. But if you have an early flight to catch , this is the place.

Had a very comfortable 4 night stay while working near the airport. The decor was superb and would put most 5* hotels to shame - kind of French-Chinese melange style. Room was great, comfortable bed and pillows, comfortable chair at a working desk plus an armchair to relax in. Bathroom had a walk-in shower and a bath.
I found staff helpful but not pushy. One evening, returning, tired, and asking for some ice, they must have taken pity on me and sent me a complementry fuit bowl and chocolates. That helps get my vote! Breakfast buffet had a large selection of Chinese, Japanese/Asian & Western foods - no need to start the day hungry.
All in all, a top notch airport hotel.

Taxi into the city is around 40mins and 120CNY, including tolls. A good alternative is the express airport bus service (actually nice coaches). Several services go to different parts of the city for around 20CNY from the 'B' arrival area.

The convenience of this hotel's proximate position to CAN Guangzhou airport the highlight for my purposes. I didn't think that the staff overall was that overly accommodating though. Maybe I hit them on a bad night. The rooms were ultra modern and overly high tech to me. I like simplicity after a highly clean & comfortable room first. The bed was comfortable though. But, poor location or hardly any for electrical outlets in the room. I need an available one by the bed where I sleep. I like a nicely cooled air conditioned room in which to sleep also. If I had my druthers, I'd rather stay if another airport hotel were available that was just as close by.

First stay was May 2008. Easy overnight for 9 hr overnight layover. Great b'fast buffet of Chinese selection (porridge, noodles and buns) alongside western cuisine (eggs, breads and meats).

Very empty and devoid of occupants. Across street from airport, but quite a ride away from town center. Don't be alarmed with glass walls for the bathroom. Look for the knobs to lower the shades from inside the bathroom.
