My wife and I spent two nights here, in order to catch a flight more easily than travelling from the city. As others have commented, the hotel is right at the airport but without noise from the aircraft. It is also easy and relatively fast to travel from the airport terminal into the city using metro line 3.

All hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Our executive level room was spacious with a view to the extensive gardens at the front.

I don't know if it is a feature of all Pullmans but the large window allowing a view inside the bathroom from the bedroom was a bit different. It took us a while to figure out how to operate the electric blind for this window.

The Pullman is a big and modern 5-star hotel at Baiyun airport, just a 5 min walk from the airport terminal. The rooms are fairly big, nicely decorated and well appointed, with sufficiently fast W-LAN. Food and service in the Chinese restaurant are ok. After dinner, there is not much to do. The bar is usually empty and there is nowhere to go except the airport. Prior to check-out, I could have a quick breakfast with good coffee at the club lounge as they let me in 10 min before the 07:00 opening time. Appreciative of this nice gesture, still they should consider if it is wise to start serving breakfast that 'late' when one big reason for travellers for staying at the hotel is early morning flights...

So when arriving late night at the airport or when you have an early morning departure, staying one night at the Pullman is not a bad choice. However for a longer stay, I would definitely recommend a downtown hotel with more character and life.

Spent three nights at the Pullman on a recent trip. The hotel is about 200 meters from the airport terminal. The directions are easy to follow. I arrived at 9:30 am and was able to check in immediately (I called ahead to give my arrival time). The hotel room was comfortable and nicely furnished. The room was clean and always made up promptly. There was only a little airplane noise even though the airport is close by and is quite busy. I liked the food at the buffet in the restaurant and there was a good variety. There is a pleasant bar area next to the lobby. The hotel and airport are about 30-40 minutes by taxi from central Guangzhou (about 130 Rmb). There is also a metro line station at the airport (about 14 stations and 30-40 minutes). The metro is clean, affordable, but often crowded. The airport terminal has a number of convenience stores and restaurants as well as retailers that you can access by walking from the without going through security.

Be prepared to put down a large deposit if you don't pre-pay. Otherwise, everything has to be paid for with cash. Not withstanding the fact that I guaranteed the room with a major international credit card and a Platinum Accor Le Club member.

Otherwise, location is very convenient for the Guangzhou Airport. Check out was smooth. Staff was helpful with conveyance to the airport.

Room was nice but a bit on the dark side. Bathroom was nice but quite tight for space.
