My family (2AD, 2CH 11,9) stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in early January 2009. My experience of hotels in China is that generally I have not found them to be overly welcoming and that you become very conscious of people who seem to be checking up on the work of other staff members, or checking to see that you are not removing anything from the room. Having said that I found the Rosedale Suites quite a welcome change. Although the staff were not exactly gushing with friendliness I certainly did feel that the Rosedale had the characteristics of a more welcoming place. We found our room to be of a good size. We ate in the restaurant one night and although you wouldn't call it 5 star dining we had no complaints. The hotel is well located near shops and the bus service for Macau has a depot right next to the hotel which was very useful for us as that was out next stop. We were fairly brave and took a train from Shenzhen to Guanzhou and then used the MTR to get to the station nearest the hotel. I wouldn't recommend that unless you are seasoned traveller. We know little Chinese and it took us some time to find the hotel from the train asking numerous people which is not easy when they don't speak English. We went to the Guanzhou Zoo from the hotel via cab and that was quick and easy. All in all, a good hotel at a reasonable price.

Stayed here during the Cantor Fair early this month. Overpriced during the fair but otherwise the hotel was very nice.
The front desk and the bell boys were always eager to help and answer your questions. The room was very nice with very clean bed linen and nice hard matress to keep your back straight after a full day of walking around. All hotels during the fair rip you off and during the non fair days I was told this place is 1/3 the price. About a 15 minute walk to the nearest Metro stop where you can get on to the underground train at a very reasonable price. McDonald is right next door. If you do not have a large suitcase, there is an Airport bus stop about a 5 minute walk from the hotel where the fare is only RMB 20, while my taxi cost me Rmb 130.

I was here accompanying my husband to the Canton Fair. Very good hotel for this purpose. And they have free transfer to the fair.

Good breakfast, free internet if you have your laptop with you and paying internet in the business centre.

They have a sort of mall in the hotel with the basic shops and restaurants (even a MAcDonalds). I tried the massage centre twice and I liked it. Also, the restaurant (Moon Carol) was quite good as an alternative to Chinese food.

Didn't think it was that good as a hotel for tourism. You still have a bit of a walk till the nearest subway station since the city centre is very far.

Stayed here for 2 nights for the Canton fair, large room which was clean and tidy. Hotel laid on a bus service to and from the trade show which was a nice touch given the exorbitant price of staying here. Hotel prices are 2 to 3 times higher during the trade shows
Spent most of the time at the trade show so did not venture around the city so cannot comment on location to the sites of Guangzhou.
Business partner ate at the chinese restaurant in the hotel and had nothing good to say about it.
Overall this hotel suited my needs but did not stand out from any other hotel
