“Excellent Food-Atmsopher-Service-name it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

This is the first restaurant that i saw with 3 floors and all packed with even larger group outside waiting to be secured places. it is indeed among the top of the list of Restaurants here and rightly so... The restaurant is always packed during the evenings but the wait for a seat is well worth the culinary adventure...you only feel rushed imagining how many more people are at the door waiting for you to leave....so they could also EAT!! Lovely concept guys but seriously consider expanding the spaces.....

“OH MY GOD SO GOOD! except the coffee & dessert. Also they didn't give fapiao”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

Beef Doner: Among the best meat I've ever eaten on this planet in my 35 years here. So good I thought I was eating mutton for a few moments because my lingual nerves were partying so hard. Served with pida, onion, grilled pepper, and choice of pilav rice, humus, etc. Fantastic combination, like a good sandwich in Philly. (I've never been to Turkey)
Lamb kebab: Also fantastic. Served in similar manner.
Olive salad: Very nice; loved it with the cheese pida. My 2-year-old found it a bit too spicy, but really, that's my fault for still not having properly developed his sense of taste.
Tomato relish (hot): Not the Hungarian dish I was expecting from the photo, but still okay.
"Brownie": Not a brownie. Choco-flavored cake drenched in syrup. I love drenched-in-syrup cakes, but this was bland. Should have chosen one of the other tempting treats.
Turkish coffee: Sorely disappointing. Bitter, flavorless, with no spices. (I started drinking coffee regularly and buying cardamom when I hit upon the Turkish preparation years ago. I like it black-as-hell-strong-as-death with no sugar, but I like it to taste like coffee.)

Service: Nice. A little rough on the edges, but warm-hearted. 2L water bottle per table is convenient, though the plastic bottles are far too wasteful.

Atmosphere: Fine for everybody, who was present (i.e. the place was packed). Mid-range; casual as in "business casual". Based on appearances visual & aural, clientele >50% Middle-Eastern.

Fapiao: The old "Our machine is broken, come back next week" line, most commonly though not certainly encountered at restaurants trying to avoid taxation. Took my name & address with a promise to mail me one.
