After my travels around China, my last destination was Guangzhou. I took the shuttle bus from the airport and the driver left me in the middle of the roundabout. I had to walk through the park in the night in order to reach the Hotel. Once the staff spoted me walking with my suitcases they run towards me to help me. I was so happy. I was even more happier when I saw the room. This was once of the biggest room I ever stayed in. It was beautiful, had amazing bed, large bathroom which over looked the room.
Staff is very knowledgeable and they help me to find my way in the city. The shop in the lobby is very nice and has everything you need to pick up on your way home. I am going to Guangzhou again in July and guess where I will be staying?

Clean and easy to get to metro to go everywhere! Not to expensive for this kind of hotels.

Stayed in Westin Guangzhou for one night in the Grand Deluxe room. The Westin Service was excellent. Attentive stuff with good english. Fast check in and check out. Room service good as well.

However, in terms of the hardware, Westin has some competitors in GuangZhou. The Grand Deluxe room is a corner room with a very good view. Room is big but I found out that the carpet has a lot of stains on it and I dares not to step on it bare foot. There is no cotton sticks in the bathroom. The plug is not international standard so I have to ask the room service for an adaptor. Has a big TV standing alone without any DVDs or surround systems. No TV in the bathroom as well. All above is not expected in a room this size and the price. For the same price, Ritz Carlton offers better hardware.

The Westin bed is very good though.

The overall experience was good. Because of the location, Westin will be a good choice for business travelers.

I never expect so beautiful hotel in china for $170, even the s.p.g. program works with good upgrades. Have 2 swimming pools, full eq gym, good italian restaurant in 40th floor with excellent view of a city that will surprise all. The service is 5 stars, I didn't want to leave.
