This review is of the singles section. Although there are two tills to ring up customers, there always seems to be only one person who serves customers and makes drinks, whilst other staff are serving the families section and drive through window. When I visited it seemed undermanned and the line to get your order taken took 10 minutes and then to get served another 15 minutes.
The menu is extensive, but seldom do they have all the ingredients to offer all the choices, this visit they had no chocolate for chocolate chip Frappuccino, sometime they run out of specific syrup flavours for coffee. This is a restocking or management related problem.
Furniture is starting to age and naturally has gathered stains, dirt, tears and splits in fabric, loosened joints, etc and its time to refurbish the furniture. There was no-one cleaning the tables as frequently as they used to do and this again may be an undermanning issue. Restrooms are in a bad state of repair and poorly maintained.
The coffee? The coffee is great, but atmosphere and ambiance are other factors in sit-down coffee shops and the decline is evident and easily fixed. As others have commented Bahrain seems to offer cleaner more modern coffee shops with better service, which is bizarre as often its the same franchise owner.
