I can't imagine someone going let's say from London to see Heathrow, so generally transportation facilities are not considered to be attractions, but this is a special case. Novosibirsk was born with the railway and it was always playing important role in the life of the city. So local residents were treating the railway with proper respect and attention.
They built a quit amazing railway station (it was built in 1930s, I was surprised to see how similar it was to the Grand Station in Los Angelos built around the same time), it's grand and spacious. Actually, it's one of the biggest stations in Russia. It was renovated and well maintained, so it's clean, comfortable and convenient.
The architecture is quite interesting, there are some stylish decorative elements and statues, there is a museum quality steam engine by the main building, so there are things to see.
Also, it's located in the central part of the city, open 24x7 and free to enter, so why not?
