“In the heart of the city at very economical rates”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013

USP is location which is excellent, right close to Nevsky Prospect and only 5 minutes walking to the Hermitage and the river...and within walking distance to the main sights of the city. Lot of restaurants and pubs close by... The rooms are nice and clean with lockers to keep your valuables safely. It is not recommended to carry passports, lot of cash and other valuables when you go out for sightseeing... especially if you go out drinking or eating at night. English breakfast is decent- omelette with toast, juice, coffee & tea. Not lavish and overall great value for money.
I'll certainly recommend it to people who want to stay in the heart of the city and at very economical rates.

I had one hour to choose a hotel in St Petersburg, so I read reviews quickly here. Almost all written are here correct; wonderful location, safety and clean rooms, friendly stuff. The city was cold, but rooms were warm, well heated . I found hotel easily as memorizing its door becauıse of hardly found complains. There were light always in entrance upto 4 th floor. It was not scaring . I found my way easily from Pulkova to hotel by public transport. It is just across metro station.
I have to say hotels are double priced everywhere in St Petersburg. . Similiar gasthouses costs not more than 35-40 Euro in most of Europe, but when its in Petersburg, everybody says it worths double prices.
For me its breakfast might be a little richer . My sleep was heavy,so I didnt paid attention but my wife waked up with every knocking door, ringing bell or walking inside.

The location of this inn is one of its biggest draw. It is located just 3 mins walk from the new Admiralteyskaya metro station, 5 mins from the Hermitage and within walking distance to the main sights of the Historic Heart. We didn't have to take the metro at all while in St Petersburg, except to go to the airport.
We stayed at Nevsky Inn 2, which is newer and has air-conditioning in all its 4 rooms. It is just 3 mins away from Nevsky Inn 1, but it was extremely hard to find. We were given the address of Malaya Morskaya 9, but there was no signage of the Inn along the street and worst of all, the Inn is not accessible via the main entrance of No. 9. Its entrance is actually the next door some 10m down the street, but with the lack of a signage, we were literally walking up and down the street like crazy. Finally we went back to Nevsky Inn 1 (which was very easy to find) and got the lady at the reception to walk us there.
But once we were inside, we were very happy. We got the largest room at Nevsky Inn 2, which was really huge, everything was clean and working well (aircon, shower, safe), and the bed was very firm - good for our tired and aching backs. There were quite a number of mosquitoes - not sure where they came from but we suspected they came from the bathroom...
Breakfast is cooked fresh by the lady at the reception every morning. It's usually omelette with toast, juice, coffee & tea. The same every morning but it was nice and yummy.
This accommodation is great value and I'll certainly recommend it to anymore!

Room Tip: If you're staying in Nevsky Inn 2, insist on the receptionist from Nevsky 1 to bring you to its...

Three of us stayed in the Nevsky Inn from Sept 3 – to Sept 9, 2012

There are 2 buildings in Nevsky Inn B & B – both in the heart of the city. We stayed at Kirpichny Pereulok 2, 19B.
Hotel is conveniently located next to the recently completed Metro station “Admiraltiyskaya”
( 27 rubles and you can ride metro to any distance)

Just would like to comment on dedication of the staff – Elena, Natasha, Olga, Tanya and of course – Irina.

Ladies who serve you breakfast in the morning and to whom you can come with any issue you might have – from extra towels – to umbrella on a rainy day..

Would like especially to mention Irina – who took care of our Visa registration - which was very much appreciated

All in all we had a great time and felt like at home.

I had the pleasure to stay in the 3 places of this hotel this last year and read with astonishement the comment of one unhappy guest.Maybe he had an argument with his lady,I hope by now it is OK for him.
Indeed all 3 places are idealy located and the main hotel is 10 meters away from the new admirality metro station.
All is simple but nothing is lacking.
Only the stair case to reach the main hotel suffers the lack of effort of the municipality to make it more atractive but this is a common situation in Russia.
Rooms are clean, beds are very confortable, bathrooms are large and well equipped and breakfast is perfect:only ask and you will get it.
The owner is a sculptural lady managing the place with a strong hand and the lady who arranges everything in town for you speaks and writes perfect English and was transformed in a cleaning lady due to an ill cleaning lady ,this with a smile that you cannot forget.
Be careful,I think her heart is taken by ???????
But be careful in Russia you may fall under the charms of Russian ladies ,who efficiently erase the lacks of the system.

Mini hotel is unique St. Petersburg invention. It is driven by chronically shortage of decent hotels in the city, Typically it this is huge flat in centrally located historical building. Such flats where built for reach people before the revolution, partitioned for lodging of multiple families and are refurbished as number of hotel rooms.
We have stayed in the Nevsky Inn 2, all rooms in this flat have air condition which was absolutely necessary in July when temperatures outside reached 29C. This location is unbeatable it is surrounded but major landmarks and restaurants.
The rooms and bathrooms are of ample size. They as well as corridors and kitchen are kept very clean. There is very little variety at breakfast: cereals, eggs, butter, jam, butter, cheese and bread that are repeated every day. You can free access to the kitchen during the day. Women that serve breakfast and clean the apartment speak very little English but will do everything they can to help you. The entrance is very discreet and entrance hall is quit dilapidated, so unfortunately are most of residential buildings in this country.
WIFI was sometimes faulty and we had to restart the router several times.
In summary we recommend this place as it provides absolutely best possible value for your money.

My husband, my sister and I spent a week at the Nevsky Bed and Breakfast in June and we all found the experience very positive. We were only a few minutes walk from the Hermitage and the river (for the boat to Peterhof) and there were several restaurants nearby. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff very helpful especially Elena who answered all my queries promptly and efficiently in excellent English both before and during out visit. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and tea and coffee were available all day either made by the staff or self-service.Elena made arrangements for us to be met by Alex at the airport and he also took us to Catherine Palace which he arranged for us to access without having to queue. Excellent value for money. We are completely mystified by the previous review from " Ambassador Tel-Aviv" Was he really staying at the same place? Perhaps a competitor in the hotel business?
