We were very lucky to stumble upon this place during our 3 days in St. Petersburg. We had just happened to stop by the Mikhailovsky Theater to buy tickets for the ballet this evening, and the OpenCafe was just around the corner.
This place is a welcome find in St. Petersburg. The breakfast was excellent (I had a big, western style omelet) and the dinner was fantastic as well. They have everything from basic sandwiches to nice pastas and meats. The ambiance of the cafe is very cool and unique -- and although the wait staff did not speak much English, the menu had an English translation and pictures, so it was very easy to communicate. Also, the prices were incredibly reasonable. I also think the cafe turns into more of a lounge/trendy hang-out place in the late evening ... but we did not stick around that long to see what happened.
This was a great find for us in St. Petersburg. Very relaxing, very cool -- and a great place to have a nice comfortable meal!
