“What an amazing hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2011

WOW this is by far one of the best W hotels i have ever stayed in - totally cool and totally luxury! the rooms are amazing and W beds are the best - the spa is really cool and even has a pool! The roof top bar has amazing views of St.Issacs cathedral and the city and great food and coctails. We ate at the Alan Ducas restaurant and the food was reall interesting and service was great. Overall a flawless stay and i would definatly recommend this hotel as the best in the city.

Visitied W St. Petersburg a few weeks back and were baffled by the design, hospitality and service. The hotel is located DOWNTOWN and in close proximity to all the major ”must see’s” in St. Petersburg. We visitied their BLISS SPA & WET (W terminology for pool) both exellent. Rooms are not too spacious, but beautiful and besides a few technical issues with the airconditioning I would say that everything was close to perfect. The W St. Petersburg features an Alain Ducasse restaurant; MIX that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, rather on the expensive side, but with amazing food and caring service. Other features worth mentioning is the top floor roof-terrace with a view to kill for and the Livingroom a cozy loungebar on the ground floor with equipped with boardgames, a fireplace and a modern library, with friendly and attentive staff. However what surprised us the most was the amazing people we met all over the hotel, to mention a few; a GM, Piter who personally greeted us at the front door on arrival, not forgetting the two funky souls constantly entertaining, mingeling & spreading good vibes @ MIX and in the Livingroom; Andreas (F&B something…) and Cathrine the insider, were among the people that really made this stay different from our previous visits to Russia. See you soon in St. Petersburg!

It is hard to find enough and proper words to expres how we feel about our experience at W St. Petersburg! From pre-arrival hotels communication and attitude to on-site experience was everything just perfect!
Hotel is brand new, excellently located with real wow factor in its design and layout. Only after you visit all the famous landmarks of Petersburg you understand and appreciate the designers how uniquely they transferred the city heritage into the nowadays design. All the gold, colours, details have their roots and inspiration in the glorious past! Excellent!!!
Another wow we have experienced is the Team and service provided by them. Very personal, attentive, absolutely welcoming in a way that we have experience it in a very few hotels before. Ekaterina Maltseva, Marina from reservation office and during our stay welcome desk manager Marina and Olga, the concierge, just to mention a ladies who really made the difference and stay memorable.Thank you a lot for your attitude!
Hotels MiX place is also recommendable with excellent food as well as wine list and the rooftop bar to question yourself what time is really at the moment looking at sun not willing to go down during white nights is also an experience in itself.
Make sure to experience all what Petersburg has on offer, including exceptional Mariinsky theatre with its famous ballet. Hotel will drop you there with one of its Porsche Panamera limo. Another addition to already unique experience.

From the outside, you would not think much. But when you step into the lobby of the W St Petersburg, you will be in an ultra modern and stylish setting. The bar area has an awsome lounge with a gas fireplace for those cool St Petersburg nights. The room was a bit small, but the modern decor and newly finished luxury bathrooms made it all work out. Be sure to check out the rooftop terrace with an incredible view of St Isaak's as well as Hermitage and other sights in the distance. Stay at this hotel, and you will get a great feel for St Petersburg with all its mystery, grandeur, and flamboyant past.

Stayed 4 nights 09-13 July using my SPG Points. I have stayed in a number of good hotels in St Petersburg but the W gets my vote and I will certainly return. The location couldn't be better. Almost right next to the stunning St Isaac's Cathedral, 5 mins walk from Nevsky Prospect, 5 mins walk to Hermitage and Palace Square. And yet, incredibly quiet. The hotel is noticeably new and typically W trendy. The room (601) was very good, spacious, comfortable with all usual amenities. No bath but a large walk-in shower. King size bed was comfortable and bedding of high quality. Room was serviced efficiently. We ate in the main restaurant miX which was 7/10 - good service and ambience, food slightly disappointing. Breakfast is in the same restaurant and is 8/10. Surprisingly, there is no buffet at breakfast which, personally, I would prefer. There is a roof bar which, in July, was simply stunning with amazing views of this beautiful city. Generally the staff were excellent - always friendly and accommodating. I will be returning in September !

Me and a friend stayed here for 3 nights. Booked 2 nights with points and paid one night (~20000 rubles I believe). Hotel is brand new. Location is excellent (5min walk from hermitage). Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. Rooms are very modern and the beds were the most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept in. Rooftop bar was also very nice with great view of Kazan cathedral. I would definitely stay here again is the price was right or if I was using points, but at $800/night, there are probably better values out there.

This hotel was fabulous and funky. Be ware though, Russia is expensive everywhere!! I was warned and it's very true. If you want traditional don't go. If you want modern, stay here. If you want traditional stay at the Astoria 1 block away. The people are young and fresh, willing to do anything if ask with out attitude and not yet jaded. The rooms are small but with all the clean lines, they look bigger. There is no Baroque or frou frou here. One of the concierges Natalia was the most efficient and even brought up our train tickets we ordered to the bar when she was having difficutlies with the reservations office. In summer they have a wonderful bar at the top over looking the soon to be Four Seasons Hotel and St Issacs cathedral. I picked this hotel for W's smart attitude, new beds and clean everything. Go now before they get Russian attitude.
They in for a run for the money with Four Season right across the street. Four Season is always place in a very special area so you know location, location.
All hotels with decent room and location are expensive. I'mv very picky so this was a good choice.
I loved St Petersburg for art and culture. If you're this go.
