In August, 2009, nine of us toured for two days with this company. When you pay the deposit in the USA, they send you tickets for each person.. No visa is needed and nothing from the ship, just the ticket and your USA passport gets you through Russian Customs, and then Red October with a very nice and comfortable van. We started touring at 7:30AM upon our ships arrival, and we chose not to return until 7:00PM so we could see as much as possible. The guide, Dimitri, was unbelievably knowledgeable, and it is better if you let them know as you go along how much you really want to hear. The tour is expensive as compared to other tours in other areas, but it is 100% worth every dollar. Also, if you choose to spend more time at one sight, less than another, let the guide know. Take food from the ship; it will save you time. Also, take the guide and driver some sandwiches which are appreciated. Also, take water.
