It's hard to find a good restaurant in eastern europe above all when you have lived in France and are accustomed to starred restaurants. This place comes very close to a one-star-restaurant in Western Europe. The cooking orients itself towards international french style (filet mignon, foie gras etc.) and the wine list consists of top class wines. During a one week stay in Königsberg, all the other places I went to were deceptions. This restaurant seems to be the only place where fine dining in the citys exists (it would have surely one michelin star in case there would be a michelin russia, which does not exist yet, of course).
