“Very good option for short business trips”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

I stayed a night at this hotel during my business trip in September 2013.

Arriving experience:
I arrived at 7am and checking process was quick. The hotel does not provide early checking and I paid double price for a night. This was the first dissapointment.

Room:
I stayed in a suite # 401. The suite was spacious and clean. The furniture was in good condition with two modern LCD TV and ipod desk. There were a free bottle of water, nespresso machine with nespresso bags of different flavours, tea bags and a tea spot.
The room located on the 4th floor and there was no elevator to the 4th floor. You should take the elevator to the 3rd floor and then take upstairs. So if you have any problem with health conditions it is better to avoid rooms on the 4 floor.
The main plus of the suite - a little personal sauna in the bathroom (look at the pics).
The second dissapointment - staff did not make a bed or towels changing during a day if I had early checking.

Breakfast:
Breakfast buffet was delicious with a lot of different cold and hot dishes.

Staff:
Helpful and spoken little English.

Hotel overview:
The hotel located at the city center and closed to all main streets, stores and restaurants.

Room Tip: Suit #401 have a private sauna cabin. If you like quite atmosphere try to book a room on the 4th flo...

One of the better hotels in Russia. Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms, excellent facilities, Wifi included. Adequate breakfast of good quality. Located in near the main drag and many restaurants. Spent on night here on our way to Vladivostok. Only Negative....we asked if we can possibly stay in the room until 5:00PM at our departure day but we were told we had to check out at noon. Sitting at the lobby killing time I noticed 2 other people (Russians) at separate occassions checking out at 3:00 and 4:00 with no problem.

I stayed in this hotel for a 16 hour lay-over between trains. Check-in staff were very friendly and helpful and with good English. My room on the 6th floor was very comfortable and well appointed, which enabled me to have a good rest throughout the day. The walls did seem a bit thin though, as I could hear people from other rooms, but it did not bother me too much as I had a good afternoon rest before heading out later. Food was great with a good breakfast which I was able to have when I arrived around 9.00am. Had a very good dinner in the bar/restaurant later, with also very friendly staff, before departing later that evening. Location is great with a short walk to the main part of town and the river front. I would stay there again, and certainly recommend this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, good food and an ideal location, rate it high for me.

Room Tip: I had a twin room on the 6th floor, which was very comfortable and well appointed, with a nice view...

I have stayed in this property for a couple of times, been there in the winter and summer.
Although first impression the property is rather compact (it is actually situated below an apartment), the rooms size are acceptable, bed is comfortable and clean.
There is a big screen TV in room, but there are limited foreign channels.
Staff are friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Currently rooms on the right side of hotel there is construction goin on, if you don't mind look...

A little hard to walk to since it was at the bottom of a small hill. Close to the Main Street and shops. Very nice restaurant with good service. Breakfast was good as well. The hotel is the lower 5 or 6 floors of an apartment building. Residential location but still convenient

I stayed in this Hotel for only one night although i only stayed here one night it should have been longer the receptionists were very helpfull (both on arrival and departure) the outside of the building was very inviting but the room i found was filled with furniture nobody really needed in it which made it impossible for you to pull your suitcase from the entrance of the room to the other end of the room

Very nice hotel with a great front desk staff. Good breakfast. Front desk ordered us a taxi to get to a bank for exchange and a grocery for water before we boarded a train to go across Siberia. They told us an approximate price for this 1 hour trip. When we returned, the driver wanted twice the expected rate, and I had no defense because I assumed that the rate was approximately fixed. My bad and I knew better. Anyway I informed the front desk and went upstairs. When we returned downstairs to go to dinner, the lady at the desk had a refund for half the charged cost. They had called the company and informed them what their driver did. A service they were not obliged to do. Also, just up the road 200 m is a great german restaurant - Beerhaus Restaurant(see my review in TA)
