“The best hotel in Moscow”

Being a frequent traveller to Moscow, this hotel is definitely the best hotel in Moscow at the moment. The service is good, the rooms are clean and large, the style is very modern and classy. It has a great rooftop bar and a very good sushi bar. The Armenian restaurant in the hotel is the best in Moscow if you like that kind of food. The price will be expensive unless you book it through company discounts as it is one of the top destinations for business travellers. It is of course very close to the Kremlin so it has a great destination. The Ritz that opened in July 07 is no competition for the Hyatt in my opinion. Possibly the upcoming Four Seasons will be.

“Great for Exploring Moscow, not so for your wallet!”

Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow

I stayed at this hotel for 3 night and payed approximately 1100 dollars a night for a standrad room and i think that it is a bit too expensive even for the most expensive city in the world. Without taking into consideration the price, hotel is very conviniently located with the proximity of the red square. It has great decor, elegant, thus modern lobby area. I was given a spacious room with comfortable beds and great view of Moscow. Service is top class and all staff speak decent English. I had a dnner at the park restaurant once, the food was very delicious but again my wallet had to pay a heavy price. Theere is also a lounge on the 10 floor with even graeter views of Kremlin and Red Square. Besides of prices, Moscow is a wonderful city with great architecture, restauants, night clubs, top class shopping facilities, nice people and not to forget awful traffic jams.
I would recommend this hotel during your visit to Moscow if you could afford it. I know that there are some more 5 star hotels in the city center which charge less in comparisson with the Hyatt. Nevertheless I liked everything and did not have any complaints about this property.

“Probably the best hotel in Moscow”

Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow

The Ararat destroyed all preconcieved notions of what to expect in Russia on my first ever visit. Although very obviously not Russia-trained, the excellent and friendly staff made staying in this hotel an absolute pleasure. The concierge's recommendations were spot-on, and travelling with my disabled grandmother, they went out of their way to organise easy accessibility to everywhere we wanted to go.

The hotel itself is cold, but comfortable - the two-tiered, card-operated elevators a throwback to the nineties' Moscow of gangster-capitalism. The rooms, though small, lacked for nothing, and were supremely comfortable for our week-long stay. The spa too offered excellent massages for reasonable rates (but coming from London, I may be one of the few to be able to say that).

The location too is excellent - being a short stroll from Red Square and the Kremlin, and seconds from the subway (a necessary evil in Moscow's nightmarish traffic).

If there are any criticisms of the hotel, it is of the restaurants. Stay away from everything except for the excellent breakfasts! The pungent sushi should be avoided if you value your life, and both the Armenian restaurant and rooftop bar gave my girlfriend and I upset stomachs. In a city as overflowing with wonderful restaurants as Moscow (Pushkin and the divinely kitsch Turandot are musts), there is no excuse to put up with what the hotel has to offer.

Oh, and the hotel is super-expensive. But in a city where (we found), expense is not necessarily a good barometer of quality, the Ararat is an excellent bet for your bucks.

“Outstanding”

Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow

This is a truly outstanding hotel. Contrary to other reviews, I experienced consistently high service. The English language skills of some of the staff may be limited but they have all been inculcated with a good service orientation and strive to be helpful.

The quality of the furnishings and amenities in my suite were of the highest standard, modern but not minimalist. A large and usable outside balcony/deck added an extra dimension. It is advisable to request a room on a high floor with a view over the Kremlin.

Make use of the pool and fitness center on the fourth floor. The pool is just about long enough for meaningful laps and there is a welcome coffee and juice bar poolside.

The room rates and food charges are off the charts but Moscow is currently the most expensive city in the world. For businesspeople meeting Russians, this is the only place to stay if you wish to be taken seriously.

“Exactly what you'd expect from a hotel of this class”

Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow

I stayed at the Ararat Park Hyatt for 3 days recently on a business trip. The hotel is very nice and is in a good location, close to the Red Square. Contrary to what people have said in other reviews, the staff were very friendly and helpful although a bit artificial. The one thing I didn't like as a business traveller was that you really need to book hotel cars in advance, otherwise they run out of them, and they have to get you a car from an outside agency, whose driver will most likely not speak English. On the positive side, free fruit in the room every day was a nice touch, and the bar on the top floor was great thanks to the views (although incredibly expensive!). Overall not a good value for money as everything in Moscow, but a good and convenient hotel, although I will definitely try the Ritz next time, once it opens on July 1st.
