“not for those who want to sleep”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2014

This would be a great place if you had a bed with a double quilt pillows and more than one towel.
What you get is a wooden platform with a mattress you have to climb on a single quilt and 1 towel between 2. Breakfast if it turns up is served in your room but with no table or chairs you balance on the mattress. The live rock band plays in the bar below till 3am and the disco goes on till 5am no point even attempt ing to sleep the noise is awful.

The staff are wonderful as is the location.

Everything that could go wrong went wrong

Staff showed us all standard rooms, and all of them were the same: dirty walls, heavy mold inside bathroom and in the rooms; leaky lavatories and demolished showers; almost no hot water.

When we asked for a room without mold, they suggested us to upgrade and pay for a "designer room"; they refused to give us a free upgrade, although the hotel was virtually empty ("free upgrade is not a hotel's policy").

Oh my god the noise!! This is not a hotel, it's a club with mattresses to crash on. Some nights the music went on till 5am and the staff seemed sarcastic and smug when we mentioned this lack of sound proofing to them. The shower flooded out the bathroom and leaked through the rotted door. This is a cool place to drink and listen to live music but not good if you're hoping to get any rest. Oh and the breakfast is a joke! Seriously, this place is terrible.

We booked this hotel because it was very close to the bolshoi theatre in Moscow. The rooms were like boxes, it was like a prison. I have stayed in hostels and cheap hotels before but come on this one cannot be compared to anything. We could not move in the room because we also had our suitcases but even if we didn't the room was tiny. The toilet was so close to the wall you couldn't even pass through it to get in to the shower. There is also a disco on the 2nd floor so you can't even sleep. Even if the location is good do not even consider staying here, the photo I have uploaded says it all.

Room Tip: I have no tips for this one :)

this hotel is in a great location, and we booked a transfer from the airport, through the hotel, which was a great idea, as the hotel was down a back street, and unnamed, so we would never had found it.this is not a hotel, more of a hostel, with a 24 hour bar/disco on the 2nd floor(the rooms are on the 3rd floor). we were fairly lucky as our room was at the end so luckily it wasnt too noisy.the room was very small, and there was no where to put your luggage, maybe a couple of shelves would help.breakfast was very basic, but was delivered to the room at exactly the time ordered.the staff were very helpful, and even suggested some russian dishes to try, and what vodkas to drink.overall was impressed with my trip to moscow

Room Tip: i think the rooms to the right of reception are quieter, although not right at the end as the laundry...

If you need to stay in the red square district, the location is great with a 5 minutes walk to the Bolshoi, metro station or Hyatt and Marriot Aurora hotels. The concept is more artist than boutique hotel, the service is minimum like a poor prisoner breakfasr served in your room with an american cafe, one and only one piece of bread anf some marmelade.... but some good expressos boutique take place some steps around!!! The room ( a suite one with daylight...) was 20 meters square with a japanese futon, tv screen and a chair, but you will keep your suit in your lugage!
