If you go to Timisoara you can't miss the Opera Square. It's called this way because, of course, the Opera House and the National Theatre are placed there. In the Opera's balcony is where the Romanian revolution form December 1989 made its voice heard all over the country sending to everyone the signal that Timisoara was the first free city coming out form the comunist era. Speeches were given from that famous balcony from those times to the present days. The Opera Square is the place where people from Timisoara gather to express themselves on different matters or ..... to party when concerts take place. Besides breathing the air filled with history of this place, you can enjoy your visit by admiring the park, the artesian well, have a coffee at the many outdoors pubs (in the summer), a meal in the restaurants or simply make some shopping. Either way, I'm sure you'll find it very pleasant.
