“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

If you're looking for a traditional Transylvanian food, this is the place to go, the food here was excellent. But not only that, you get a full experience - waitresses are wearing traditional clothes, the place is decorated by traditional artefacts and as a bonus you get a complimentary shot of traditional alcohol.

“Great meal with family and friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

We were a wedding party and we ate here on our first night, as recommended by the bride, a Cluj native. It was a fantastic night from start to finish. To begin, men and women were served different aperitifs -- those served to the men were quite bitter, and there was some swapping amongst some of the couples! The starters were platters of meat, cheese and delicious vegetarian options -- a smoky aubergine dip particularly stood out. My partner really enjoyed his beef and onion main; a bit like a stroganoff. My first experience of a Transylvanian Curly Pie led me to eat many more -- and we all tried the Floating Islands for dessert; truly delicious!

“An exciting and fullfilling experience in Romanian cuisine”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

The place is a little hidden, we discovered it by an Italian guidebook, and we strongly recommend it. Quality is excellent (we eat both meat and fish) and dishes are abundant. Prices are in the average. Waitress was lovable and very kind. The atmosphere riproduce an old Romanian country house, with traditional music and we appreciate the absence of disco-techno music, which is predominant in every restaurant of Romania.

“Romania in a nutshell”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013 via mobile

Hidden on a quiet road, this is not the kind of place you would just randomly stumble upon, but it is well worth finding! There were 9 of us and I didn't hear a single complaint, even from the 2 kids in our group. Every plate was licked clean. Atmosphere was beautiful and quiet, authentic Romanian food was excellent and affordable. They even gave complimentary tastes of their sweet cherry wine and their Palinka. Highly recommended!

“Very good Romanian food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Very good Romanian food. Friendly, efficient service by staff dressed in Transylvanian costumes. Cosy inside and shady outdoor seating area. Convivial atmosphere and a very enjoyable place to eat.
