The Aurora Inn as experienced a renaissance. The food is beautiful, interesting, and features much of the bounty of the Finger Lakes, in the food, the wines, and even the beer. I thoroughly enjoyed my cannelloni filled with rich ricotta and goat cheese and served with local greens and amazing sauteed oyster and shiitake mushrooms. It was expertly seasoned and beautifully presented. My daughter had lobster ravioli with a tangy lemon sauce which was a great counterpoint to the richness of the lobster. The vanilla creme brulee for dessert was smooth, and full of black flecks shows that they use actual vanilla beans, rather than vanilla extract. Great attention to detail make this a special meal. The prices reflect this but it's worth every penny. Great local wine list with nice selections by the glass.
And, then there are the views of the lake. They are incomparable, especially at sunset. In the past I've eaten out on the patio and it is gorgeous.
