“very pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

good value for the price. Large room with a fridge. The aircon worked well and was more than large enough for the room. The check in and check out was handled professionally and very quick. I found the service to be excellent. It is just a couple of blocks away from a large mall as well. Staying on the 2nd floor the water pressure in the shower was not the best but more than adequate. This would be the only thing I could criticize in this hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay with really good value. I will look forward to staying in this hotel again on my next visit.

1400 pesos for two in a standard room with aircon,wi fi, hot water, tv and fridge, Great customer service, I think this is a great hotel at a great price, It has all I need and is clean and in a great location near SM mall. Easy to catch the shuttle to the airport from SM. I highly recommend and would stay here again.

In no less than 5 minutes I was able to check in. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Upon checking my room I was surprised that they gave me a better rate. The location is just near to sm city Bacolod and the central market and if you're going to Iloilo, bredco is just 5 mins away from the hotel. Transportation was not a problem. Easy to access place.

The hotel staff were not particularly fast at checking m in but on the plus side did not demand a security deposit as seems common a practice at many hotels now.

The room was roomy and had a queen and.a single abed, along with a bedside table on each side, a rather large alarm clock and a bedside lighting.

Strangely ate dark blue carpet had a couple of noticeable gaps between each width but was clean and in good condition.

The red curtains effectively blocked the light from the Juliet balcony on which the rails we resting.

There was a modern flat screen television and an electronic safe along with a good sized small refrigerator with an extensive minibar selection.

The room also had a good sized writing desk.

The shower was very clean, large and had a pull along glass screen door asking it suitable for the disabled. Hot water was adequate.

I only heard minimal noise from the infamous disco.

Breakfast was not included. My continental variety was slow to arrive but OK.

Taxis ware easily obtained. Checkout took afire minutes due to the room check.

Hello Sir is the nice greeting from the bell hop when he gathered our bags from he taxi. Only a ten minute ride from the Ceres bus terminal. The receptionist was professionly courteous, got us two deluxe rooms next to each other (queen size bed and single bed). Walked five minutes to the mall right behind the hotel. Ordered room service filipino breakfast of rice, egg, sausage, pickled papaya and brewed coffee which was promptly served and very tasty. Can sit by the bright windows and watch the trademark hectic Philippine activity below. It is a 45 minute, 500 peso, taxi ride to the airport. Chinese new year was At the Lagoon, right up the street. Very convenient to central city activities. The airconditioner blows on your head at night, which at first feels great and then becomes irritating.

The positives:
1. location - very accessible and within walking distance to a church, park and a mall (SM City)
2. staff - polite and efficient
3. rooms - clean and spacious
4. room rates - very reasonable
5. taxis always available outside the hotel entrance

The negatives:
1. rooms are not soundproofed -- we could hear the sounds of motorcycles and jeeps from inside our third floor room (facing the street)
2. no complimentary coffee or bottled drinking water
3. room rates do not include breakfast
4. weak wireless wi-fi

Recommended. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms facing away from the street are quieter.
