“nice but isolated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2012

a romantic place for couples since the place is really isolated :) .... but quite hard to find and no resto nearby... you need to rent their car just to get to places you want to go...overall, .the place is clean... good food...

We rented two appartells in this resort. It smells awful at first when we came in. The stove is dangerous due to that you will be electrified when you are cooking and the oven is not in order. Many small ants inside the appartell. AC it very noisy. The water comes and go. The beds are awfull. We are not getting back to this place if they wont chance everything. :-(

Room Tip: Think before you take this resort.

This place has a nice but short beach frontage, the rooms are small, there's a pool and the restaurant serves quite delicious food. If you plan to swim on its beach, be sure it's high tide because the water becomes very shallow during low tides.
Travelling through and from Cebu City is quite a hassle as it far away from shopping malls like Ayala and SM. Taxi usually charge a large amount to ferry you from the city to your resort as it is remotely located.
We did some island hopping and snorkeling was great just a few minutes from the resort and there were lot's of fishes.

What I liked mostly about this resort are the outdoor facilities - the cabanas and gazebos were filled with nice old-ish wooden furnishings. Yes, the beach is not one that I would swim in, and the pool is quite small that it easily heats up in the summer sun. Food is so-so and expensive for the place. The rooms themselves are old and worn, and the whole time that I stayed there (three nights), the room was NEVER cleaned!

The resort is in a rather isolated area in the south part of Mactan island, so you are basically marooned there. Perfect if you want to just escape from the noise of Cebu City. But if you are aching to go out, you have no other choice but to hire their hotel cars and vans, which are quite expensive.

1. Rooms are old and are in disrepair. Lampshades are dusty. Bedcovers stink. Bathroom leaks. Fixtures, other touchpoints are old. Saw at least two cockroaches in the room (not the same one twice).

2. The place seems newly renovated, and some parts under construction. But they left behind the rooms!!

3. Pool is small and needs re-tiling.

4. Beach is actually the sandy front part of a fishpond. No decent beach furniture.

5. Smoking seems to be permitted everywhere. The lobby. The restaurant. The rooms. The pathways.

6. Restaurant sucks eggs. The food is below average by the most gracious standards.

7. It is very very very far from everything else, and to get out you need to pay $10 for a one-way ride into town, or anywhere else for that matter.

8. No TVs in the room, no internet except in the lobby.

9. A/C broke down.
