“makes you want to go back again and again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014 via mobile

oh my, i dont know where to begin, so let me take u with me on my usual routine every time i eat at this elegant, new place. i always start off with the japanese section. my faves are the salmon sashimi, anchovy roll, salmon skin roll, and ebi tempura. and btw, they have 15 deliciously different maki rolls so it takes about 3trips to tokyo table to finally decide which ones i cant resist! then i move on to the dimsum. since i dont eat pork or beef, i consume LOTS of chicken siaomai with their home-made chili sauce. MAJOR YUMMINESS! i then proceed to the main course display where i usually find around 10 non-pork,beef dishes. my fave is the tofu-shitake mushroom. by this time, i am already 90% full, but i just cannot skip dessert. Their array of "shooters" always beckons to me and the choco pot de cream simply wont take no for an answer. i eat 3. plus a creme brulee and a tiramisu. the halo-halo can wait til next time. and so shall the cupcakes and ice cream. and the yakiniku section. and the tomyam soup, miso soup, and fried rice. and the chicken feet, popsicles, and the sweet and sour fish.... WAAAAAAAAAAH! i just can't get enough of their food! as someone who does not consume pork/beef, i usually have limited options when i dine out. but here, even with only 100 choices, i find myself in awe of the quality (taste is my priority), the ambience (hotel-like), the service (very efficient staff), and the quantity (they never run out each time i go). i would highly recommend this resto to extremely picky eaters who would go for authentic cuisine. i'd bet anything you can compare their dishes with our faves in hongkong, malaysia, thailand, and japan! but dont take my word for it. go and experience it for yourself!

“Super !!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Before visiting the place, i already heard some of comments from friends and acquaintances, some good and some, not so good.. guess i just have to find it out for myself,so,finally, i visited tokyo table with a friend last sunday. Frist impression was wow!!! the place is huge, wide and spacious! It feels homey and relaxed, met a lot of friends too when i was there .After we were given a table buy the waiter ,i immediately attacked the food. hahaha The way food was displayed was great !!! owners also really plays attention to details.. not only on the food but also to the design of the place. While i was getting some shrimp tempura, i can't help but started to sample a piece while my eyes are set in their maki. They have a good selection of makis. Was able to have salmon sashimi, uni sashimi, unagi and more, there were cooked sections too and dimsum corner also... was not able to try all their food cuz there was too much to sample... for sure will be back for more... i am glad that we have a place like this to brag about here in cebu ...it's really highly recommended as the food they serve are all of high quality !!! well worth it ....

“great value for money! good culinary addition for cebu!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

Cebu needs more culinary destination and indeed tokyo table is one very good addition.
finally a japanese buffet w some twist of asian fusion and comfort foods IN CEBU.!

the grill table was so effecient and excellent that i was stuck to using much of it grilling different meats.
unlike other outdated places that has a chimney or smoke extractor.that covers the face of your companion or guests IS REALLY A DISTRACTION! and ONE has to at times evade the escaping smoke from the grill which is so smelly on the clothes afterwards. and and the smoke could get to your eyes. .this new equipment and its smoke extraction capabilties was indeed flawless.

its the only i know "japanese all u can eat buffet" that offers free drinks and rice as well.so with the food offering ranging from assortment of all meats and different sushis..sashimi from salmon,to uni and the tempuras...is more than enough to cover the cost. not to mention a host of other cooked dishes which i didnt have much room and chance to try them all except for the humba and sisig wc were very good. so thats why its really value for money for one who understands japanese food ala carte prices. i say value for money cause didnt have the chance to eat all the dimsums and chinese dishes at all as w the grill and sushis and sashimis as i was already stuffed.and satisfied and happy..

i understand they just recently opened, and i was informed that the main owner who has a lot of passion for food and interiors as well will do more in the coming days, adding more to what it is right now wc is already very good!
as a foodie myself i know passion will only lead to excellence! so i see the great effort exerted behind the beautiful ambiance and interiors.and i know more will be coming as i see more areas that can be reinforced still.!

if the management dont mind i have few recommendations and suggestiuons:
PLEASE ADD TO YOUR MENU EVEN JUST NEW WORLD WINES. USA OR AUSTRALIA
WILL DO, SELECT FEW GOOD VALUE DRINKABLE WINES. SO IT CAN BE PAIRED FOR THE
EXCELLENT FOOD.(NOT FOR FREE BUT CUSTOMERS WILL BE WILLING TO PAY)

JAPANESE FOOD WILL NEVER BE COMPLETE WITHOUT SAKE...PLEASE ADD SAKE TO THE LINE UP. AGAIN NOT FOR FREE BUT ALL REASONABLY PRICED TO ENCOURAGE MORE PATRONAGE.

IN THE SASHIMI AREA, PERHAPS ADDING LOCAL FRESH CATCH FISH WOULD BE EXCELLENT.LIKE RED SNAPPER OR OTHER EXCELENT FRESH SEAFOOD LIKE IKA..ITS SUPER DELICIOUS WHEN EATEN FRESH.

IN THE FASCILITY AREA, ADDING ANOTHER ONE OR TWO ISLAND WOULD BE GREAT.
I KNOW THIS WOULD MEAN MORE EXPENSE AND MORE MANAGEMENT AND MORE PRICE.

IF THE FOOD IS GREAT, AM SURE PEOPLE DONT MIND PAYING. STRIKING A PERFECT BALANCE BETWEEN PRICE AND LOCAL CUSTOMERS CAN BE A BIG CHALLENGE!!!

BUT I HEARD ANOTHER CROUP IS OPENING UP MANILA STYLE BUFFET WC IS SO EXTENSIVE BUT
TAKING NOTE OF THE UPCOMING CHANGES IN THE FUTURE RESTO SCENE WILL BE AN ADVANTAGE.

OVER ALL I WOULD SAY CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TOKYO TABLE MANAGEMENT. CHEERS!!! AND MAY YOU CONTINUE TO EVOLVE MUCH FINER AND HIGHER.
