Very clean hotel, great environment, design and spacious. We enjoyed our stay in Escario Central and planning to stay here whenever we're in Cebu City!

Hotel staff are accommodating and friendly! Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!

Located a little bit aside of the city center and the osmena circle, this hotel has the advantage of being in the center but totally in silence. Here you sleep like on a island. No noise at all. The Hotel is new build and consists of ground floor bungalow rows, Each room has aircon, a double bed and ensuite facilites incl. warm water. WIFI is for free and so is a internet computer in the lobby. The hotel has no own restaurant, but just around the corner a a coffee, which cooperates with the hotel in terms of brealfast (you can sign and pay with your hotel bill) and further on some other restaurants which provide excellent food (e.g. freshly made lechon).

During my trip I stayed at 4 different hotels.

If I went back to Cebu this would be my 1st choice (out of those 4).

It was the cheapest, the quietest - yet a decent location, had the most reliable wi-fi, and had the best shower.

I'm very picky about showers, it was hot, had decent water pressure and wasn't a fixed position shower so I could actually clean myself rather than just getting wet hair and shoulders.

The rooms are under 2000 pesos and as good as or better than many that are over 2000 pesos.

In the immediate vicinity there is a general store and the cafe on the corner was particularly good, as well as other restaurants including McDonalds.

This was the only place I stayed where the Internet worked every single time I tried it, and the speed was decent too. Also, there is a little garden, you can even take your laptop out there if you want a table in front of you.

I used the laundry service and they did a good job and didn't take too long.

I'm able bodied, but if I weren't then I'd appreciate the lack of steps - this hotel is all at ground level (also good in a disaster, or for people who hate lifts/elevators).

Some might say the TVs are a bit small, others might be more bothered by the lack of desk/table in the rooms, and this certainly isn't a luxurious place (no pool etc).

It is a very decent and respectable deal to be had.

I stayed in an Orange Room for 3 nights just last week. It had two Double beds, but curiously only one pillow on each bed.

The pros:
* New hotel, meaning it's clean.
* Good location, adjacent to Escario Central Plaza, with a 7-11, a 24-hour McDonalds, and other cafes. It's a 5-min taxi ride to Ayala Center, or a 15-min walk, but that's not recommended since there are practically no sidewalks on Escario St.
* Super efficient AC, cools the room in 3 minutes.
* Great and free wi-fi, no dropped connection in 3 days.
* Ample closet space
* ok, basic, no frills bathroom, with plenty of hot water in the shower.
* Good friendly service from the staff, from the receptionists to the cleaning staff.

The cons:
* Not a single chair in the room(!) even though there is plenty of empty space, and the room is intended for 1-4 people. Trying to use your laptop becomes an adventure, as you can only sit on the bed and place it on the single nightstand. Not comfortable at all.
* No mini fridge, which frankly is inexcusable in the Philippines. Cannot keep anything cold after 5 minutes. I have no idea why some hotels in the PI and other tropical places don't have mini fridges that cost $250, last 5 years and can recoup the investment within a month.
* The hotel's distinguishing feature becomes its liability. The cabana/bungalow-type rooms, even though away from the deafening traffic outside, suffer from the internal "people" traffic just outside your room, whether it's the guests or the room cleaning staff. And the thin walls and a huge window facing the common area don't help either. Don't plan on sleeping late here.

Side notes:
* a 1-kilo of wash and fold laundry cost 165 pesos (2 kilos minimum), which is an absurd price in the Philippines.
* there was water pipe construction going on outside one of the rooms. I was awakened by hammering noise at 8 am on Saturday morning! Ask when they will finish this before you book.

Overall, for a couple of days it's a good option. But I don't see how one can stay here for any longer duration.

This hotel has a connecting restaurant where breakfast can be ordered for around $5. It has an adjacent commercial complex that has a 7-eleven, Zubuchon, bank and coffee shops. The hotel staff are friendly. No frills. Thick mattresses, clean bathroom. I hope the staff maintains the cleanliness.

It is a simple hotel but it's very neat and I think fairly new. There were 4 of us in 1 room with 2 beds, hihi but we survived! We did fit and just shared the pillows.. The air conditioning was good, we found ourselves so wrapped up in the comfortable bed sheets when morning came. We were fetched from the airport and if I remember correctly it wasn't check-in time yet but we were allowed to leave our bags in one of the rooms. The reception area is a bit small so if there are a lot of guests it can get crowded, but nonetheless the staff are accomodating. There's also wifi in their place so just ask for the password. The cabled tv was working properly and I remember my friends and I were watching pirates of the carribean, haha :) We also had food delivered via the 21212 and had a really great time bonding in our rooms. There's also a bubble tea place and Mcdo right outside and that was convenient as well for breakfast or late night snacks.. Escario Central Hotel is for those who are looking for nothing fancy but a quality stay :)
