After showing around twenty taxis the business card of this place, I finally found a taxi driver that said he knew where he was going, until we arrived at an apartment block and had to get the police involved so as not to pay the fare...Call me niave, well if you think working throughout South East Asia for sixteen years and speaking multiple languages makes me stupid, then I must be!
When we arrived at 2055hrs we were handed a "snack" type menu. When challenging the waitress as to why we received that, she replied, "the chefs gone home". I asked to speak to the manager who was just chatting at an adjacent table. She told the waitress to hand me the usual menu, rather than break off her chat and come and talk to me. I wasn't prepared to wait for somebody capable of making a burger to attempt to cook something off the main menu. After all if he was then surely that menu would have been presented in the first instance....
I then attempted to talk to the owner (wife I believe) but she just seemed to be annoyed that I came and spoke to her...Shame on you Emerald!!!
I would suggest that you try and tell some of the taxis in Cebu, who I find to be geographically challenged at best, a key to unlock your obvious indentity crisis. I've been in hospitality management for over twenty years and I left your establishment fuming!
