“Love this place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

I have been a fan of La Buona for as long as i can remember. I love the appetizer of hot crisp foccacia with vegetables in olive oil... way back when it is served free, now that its P200 or $5. A serving... it is still the reason i go all the way there.Pizza is also great.

“A very pleasant experience!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

When I was in La Buona Forchetta Da Paolo it had all the right components to make a very special night. Girlfriend, check. Famed-restaurant-that-I-have-never-been-to-that-I-have-heard-good-reviews-of, check.

And boy was it a special night thanks to the owner (Paolo) who did a superb job of coming across being accommodating & friendly without invading too much of your privacy. Each member of his staff is very well trained, attentive and warm. The ambiance is homey yet very romantic, I absolutely loved it.

And of course where it mattered: The food, we had the focaccia bread (good), spinach ravioli (amazing! do yourself a favor and order this when you come here, you're welcome) and the Tagliata al Rosmarino (Grilled tenderloin, it was just delicious!). All of it is authentic Italian food and more importantly it was flavourful!

Overall the food and the service was excellent, the restaurant is a little pricey but it was well worth it. With that being said I do suggest coming on special occasions as this place is excellent for it and it also thrives off on romantic dinners with that special someone as well. Two thumbs up, Bravo Paolo!

“***Nice food and environment ***”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

I've been here in this place three months ago with my special someone and i met the owner (Paolo), a very nice and jolly person. He accomodates us well together with his staff. They are nice, friendly and aside from that I really love their Italian food. Really great and hope to get back soon there.

“Very nice owner, but food is gross”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

So the guy that owns this place is super nice and very accommodating and warm to his guests. Without him, this place would literally be nothing. Because the food is not even authentic. They don't make their own pasta (which is as authentic Italian as you can get) and their sauce for the dishes tastes like its ready made out of a bottle you buy at a grocery store. Also very disappointing was when I ordered the gnocci. It is supposed to be made of potato but instead tasted like raw dough. Very disgusting. Couldn't eat it. Most of our food was left on the table. The wine was good though. I feel bad leaving this review cause the owner seems so nice but he needs to teach his filipino staff better ways to cook his food or stop cutting corners on food costs.
