“A place to remember”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

For the local food, I like "Laing" here. Durian chocolate cake is so unique and delicious, and must try. The restaurant is lovely decorated with crafts and delicacies. The crafted necklaces are beautiful with reasonable price. But beware when you go with little kids as they might break any crafts that placed around the shop. They have no high chair.

“Hit and miss and quite pricey!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2012

Abaseria has a nice concept. Restaurant that showcase delicacies and products from all over the Philippines. I like the place and the decor, which is modern native, if you could call it that. Their menu is extensive and it is Filipino food with some dishes, require to be ordered ahead of time. Most of the servings are for one person only when the prices are steep enough to make the servings good for two. It is a good resto but they could improve in some points.

“Ratatoulle of Cebu!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

There's a culinary genius hiding in Cebu and its the chef and owner of Abaseria Cafe and Deli. Wow, she really turned ordinary everyday dishes into something extraordinary. The bangus belly was great, so was the tinolang manok with gata; the sauteed eggplant was exceptional (the chili sauce she used was out of this world). And of course, the durian chocolate cake was something altogether. My wife never eats durian, but this time to all our amazement, she did and she enjoyed it.

“unique combination of resto and store for local products!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2012

If not for the tables and chairs, one would think this is a native-craft store! They sell everything from foodstuff, coffee beans, woodcraft, native bags, ladies accessories, house decors, etc. all locally made! The popular products of Bacolod, Iloilo, Baguio and Benguet provinces stand out in the shelves! The food servings were just right though quite pricey! The baked, not fried, lechon kawali was sooo good especially with a sprinkling of Pinakurat vinegar. The humba was done differently. The Fish in Miso soup was superb! The place is warm , homey and interesting with all the stuff around for sale.
