Find this hotel that could be at par with the 5 stars. And what catches my attention is their "10 Commandments" of staying their hotel. The 10th commandment says, " Anybody caught smoking inside the facility will be asked to leave, but with no refund". That's how they love nature and the well being of the other guests.

It has been a long time since I have seen service such as this. Everyone fromt he doorman to the front desk staff, to the staff at the breakfast buffet. Wow. I paid 950 pesos for a room with 2 twin beds (about $25). The room was decent and the internet actually works well (it doesn't in most other hotels out here). AC works well and bathrooms are good.

The food at the breakfast buffet was ok. There were eggs, corned beef, spaghetti, etc. The beds are a little small and not as comfortable as some hotels, but definitely tolerable and are worth the price. This is a great place if you are looking for a budget place to stay.

All standard rooms have windows that open to the air conditioning shaft. So, when the window is open, the heat from the air conditioners in the shaft comes into the room. One night, there was a 4-1/2-hour brownout. The hotel does not have a backup generator. So, all the rooms became hot and stuffy. Since the windows open into the air condition shaft, no air would come into the room even when open. I know that generators cost money to install but a hotel's primary concern should always be the comfort of its customers.

The hotel was nice inside but you weren't near anything but the port (handy if you are taking a ferry though). It might be nicer to be closer to the malls or some eating areas. I did have one complaint about the front desk though usually they were very helpful. We wanted to take a cab to the Dao temple and they gave us totally the wrong information (length of trip and price) so we ended up giving the cab driver far more than he deserved, maybe they work together....
The rooms were small (we were in a standard) and the air conditioner was really loud. Breakfast was good though and the staff helpful in the cafe.
