“Cebu Parklane”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We arrived early at the Parklane hotel, around 9AM. We wanted to have an early c/in and we were given the room at that time for additional 500 pesos which is very reasonable. The front desk staff messed up a little with the reservation and the credit card, but no big deal. Room was ok, clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is correct but not that fantastic as I could read in previous reviews. Buffet and “eat all you can” are usually very popular in the Philippines, so you better wake up quite early to have more choice of items. However, their hot chocolate is awful, same as the coffee. If you want a cappuccino, you have to pay extra, same as for the fresh juices. Otherwise, you can simply enjoy powder juice. They have a swimming pool (not really under the sun), Jacuzzi, gym and sauna. We enjoyed those facilities, and the staff in charge was very nice and helpful. Above all, the most important details remain the location. Just 2 or 3 steps from Ayala center, Cabs anytime in front of the hotel, lots of restaurants, etc.. Globally positive experience. For less than 3000 pesos you can’t expect less or more.

Complimentary buffet breakfasts... buffet lunch / dinner at ~ P580... Great food with so many offerings (filipino, japanese, italian, spanish, chinese and a fusion of other asian cuisines), serving fresh Cebu Lechun for lunch, daily as part of buffet dishes...
A business class hotel, having strong wifi everywhere. With big function rooms best for holding company meetings and trainings..
Not a budget hotel, has big rooms good for two, with nice fixtures and interiors and has a common gym in one of the floors...
Near Ayala malls, but not convenient to go to mall on foot, one has to cross the high-way with no proper pedestrian lane.. :| :|

I've stayed at the Parklane on two separate occasions. I've also stayed at the Waterfront Hotel/Casino and the Golden Prince in Cebu and this is my favorite.

It is truly an International-quality hotel. If you're used to hotels in the USA, this won't disappoint.

Room Tip: If you're having a birthday, make to include it in your reservation information. On my birthday...

The hotel was everything that we were lead to expect, in particular the staff were very helpful and friendly, no fuss about our arriving a bit earlier than scheduled check-in time. Our room more like a mini-suite with fabulous bathroom etc and the most comfortable bed one could wish for. Also the hotel is very well situated. The breakfast was excellent. We will definitely be back there again.

I recently stayed at the Parklane in Cebu, and though I had stayed there before and been satisfied with the overall quality, I hadn't been back to Cebu in about a year. I stayed in an Executive Room on the 16th floor, and the price included free Wifi access, and free consumption of drinks from the minibar, as well as access to the lounge, which I didn't use.

This is not a luxury hotel, and I think it's rated locally at 4 stars; by European standards it would probably be a 3 star. The location, a one minute walk or so from Ayala Mall and a five minute drive from Crossroads, is quite good, as is the service and the friendliness of the staff who seem genuinely glad to be of service. Hotel amenities include a reasonably large swimming pool and a fitness center, and breakfast, in a large, sunny dining room was included in the price of the room. I'm not a breakfast eater so I cannot comment on the quality of the food.

The rooms are attractive, with functional, plain furnishings and the bathroom had an excellent shower. Lots of bathroom amenities were included, as was an in-room hot water kettle with tea and coffee.

Given the central location and the overall level of service, I would return without hesitation.

The service

This hotel was pArt of package. Don't go on Holy Week, unless u r are there for religious reasons. Otherwise Shops in hotel And SM Mall were closed. Regardless a city tour was nice and it was available.
The pool gets sun only first part of day. So go early.
Service personnel were all very helpful and kind.

i've been to cebu several times and i've stayed in several hotel in the area and i must say this hotel is one of the best!

Location: a five minute walk to ayala center which houses wide array of shops and restaurants!

Transportation: considering the location near a mall... taxis are really not a problem. the hotel guards will help you get one. ;-)

rooms: CLEAN! sheets, pillows, duvet, towel and even the room carpet are clean. no bad or funky odor inside the room. thumbs up! the room with a king size bed is big enough for the two of us. we were able to sleep well!

amenities: pool is not as a big but ive enjoyed it. complete gym set... thumbs up!

food: wide array of continental and filipino breakfast food. tip: eat your breakfast early to enjoy some quiet time because the buffet area tends to be too crowded during late breakfast time.

service: very accommodating staff. i did a late check out on our last day and i was not even charged for it... thumbs Up!
