Ate here the other night as I was craving Vietnamese fare. I was optimistic having read the reviews. I wanted Pho Ba and Ban Xeoh (that Vietnamese crepe) so bad since I had some in HCM a few months back. My husband and I ordered Pho Ba, Ban Xeoh, Fresh spring rolls and San Mig Light (no 333 here). The server gave us a small plate of supposed to be herbs -- few sprigs of basil, some curly lettuce, bean sprouts and 2 tiny wedges of lime. It was downhill from there. I asked for additional herbs as I wanted to taste the basil, mint, cilantro in my hot Pho Ba. No herbs here, apparently. The server came back with a small plate of 5 small leaves of basil and that's the herb. The crepe was ok, passable but the portion is too small for even one person. The pork filling was tough to the bite. And there was not enough crepe, and not enough leaves to tuck the crepe in. Now came the fresh spring rolls. Everyone seems to order it so it must be good right? Big mistake. It was all noodles. It came with a cold, sorry-looking peanut sauce to give it some taste. It looked bland and tasted bland. The paper-thin shrimp and some kind of meat, could not really figure out if it was pork or chicken, yes, it was that thin, gets lost in all of the rice noodle that made up that spring roll. For P195 an order, it was highway robbery. If I super hate you, I will recommend that you go by all means but I will forbid friends to go here.

We apologize for the unpleasant experience you had last August at Ba Noi. We have undergone several improvements since then and we hope you can give us another chance to provide you an authentic Vietnamese experience. Please also try the fresh spring rolls when you come back. That's one of the menu items we've improved and have received positive feedback on its overall taste since we took over the old management. The crepe is also bigger and tastier, and we make sure to serve generous amounts of herbs as they would in Vietnam. Hope to see you again soon.
