1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Have stayed here a few times but this would be my last time. The first time we stayed here was great, I guess it was newer then and the room and breakfast were great. But this hotel has not been maintained well eversince, it just gets tired and tired every year even breakfast here has soured the only thing that has changed is its rates. It has actually gone up regardless of the quality of hotel and service. They even charged for extra towels and linens.

I only asked because the their flat sheets that they use for the mattress is too short so the foot of the bed is exposed to the bare mattress cover that they don't wash. You won't notice it unless you completely pull the blanket and top sheet that your feet is touching the dirty mattress. I should have taken pictures coz it was so dirty and disgusting.

There was a huge convention all of the hotels were booked and they were unfortunately the only ones available, good thing we added our names on the cancellation list for Crowne Plaza and got in. It's hard to find two double/queen rooms in Manila but I would rather pay the extra $$ for an adjoining room somewhere else next time, it's really not worth it.

I was here for the 3° time end it's still the same.......nice brekfast ( even it's every day the same but a lot that you can take ), nice swimmingpool with resto, friendly staff and security, friendly personel and drivers.
One little min-point: the price...... It's quit expensiver than the first time i stay here ....

Room Tip: Rooms near the swimmingpool are nicer but not cheap, bathroom, wirllpool in the room ....

We arrived in Manila at midnight, but the Hotel was able to arrange for us to be met and taken to the Hotel without fuss, Check In was completed with minimum of delay and our luggage was delivered to our room with us! The room was comfortable, and clean, staff were always polite and helpful, altogether we had a wonderful stay and have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to visitors to Manila. The Hotel was built in the 50's and the background music and decor reflected this, the pool area was clean and tidy, and food excellent.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the Hotel are quieter,

I've stayed here 12 times as a jump off to/from the airport. The staff is very good and friendly and the hotel provides a good breakfast with the room charge. It is still a good place to stop over because of its proximity to the airport.

This place is close to the airport.we have free pickup with the driver holding a placard with our name even after our local connecting flights for free.the place may need to be maintained better. nothing major, mostly cosmetics but this certainly adds to the attraction as a well maintained place even if not a 5 star place can be a 5 star.i gave it four because of this. The little deatails was great like the lobby has sunka and dama.the presence of balikbayans and foreiners with their family adds to the home atmosphere and the balikbayan experience. The food and breakfast buffet was excellent.24 hr room service. Free shed shuttle to the mall of asia.Their service is the best.we love our stay, and will definitely come back next time.

I have stayed at Mabuhay over 10 times and never thought of leaving a review. Having worked for Hilton International for 20years one should. I usually mess up with reserving the rooms. Only because when one wants to make a correction on line it takes a while. Our church has used this hotel twice with 6 or more rooms. From the pick up at the airport to the accomodations the Manor has always been faithful in checking to make sure about the number of room requesting. the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The front service, lobby service, security at the door, bell person, to the maids all have been attentive and courteous. In the lobby or poolside waiters were always singing or smiling. Breakfast is always a refreshing start of the day, after our devotions in one of the prayer rooms on the 3rd floor. The market on the backside is an experience and can be a put off for some, but a great place to shop for luggage, clothes, shoes, slippers, home design t-shirts made ( had 20 made in 1.5hrs),knick knacks, all savings instead of going to the MOA, a short ride away. Just remember this is like any other city where one needs to think and be safety conscience. Food, room rates, and cab fares are very reasonable. This has come to be a day to relax and shop before the long flight back home.
On a personal level, I have called and made reservations and paid for my guests to stay there the Manors seems to know what I want and provides my friends with the same treatment friendly and courteous.

We stayed in a premium room. The room was a large size. During our previous stay in Manila we were at Best Western La Coronas. This room was about 2 and a half times larger than their rooms. The room was very dark because they frost the window. There is no view even though there is a window. The bathroom looked very nice but there was also a strong urine smell in the bathroom which was unbearable.

The location was alright. At night lots of homeless people lying around but very nice night market just at the end of the street at Roxas Blvd.. It was a short taxi ride to M.O.A. Take a taxi for only 61.00 php. The hotel has a shuttle going at 10am, 3pm and 8pm and costs 20php/person. If you take a private shuttle from hotel it is more expensive.

The breakfast was delicious. There was an egg station to make eggs to ones liking as well as traditional Philippino food. The pool was delightful. It was large for swimming but also a small shallow pool attached which was covered for shade.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The shuttle pick up from the airport was waiting for us which is a free service, the shuttle back to airport costs 300 php. Overall staff were very pleasant ans made the experience more pleasurable.
